I spit balled this list and there are some real bums on it but just wanted to put the names out there. Some are assistant coaches or coordinators or college coaches, others are doing television, some are sitting on the couch (for good reason). Dennis Earl Green (February 17, 1949 – July 21, 2016)
On July 21, 2016, Green died at the age of 67 due to complications from cardiac arrest.
So unless you're referring to another Dennis Green, that was not exactly stellar research you did there. lol.
Oh my God, I didn't know he passed. I was just thinking of names as I typed. That being said he would been a better choice than Gase in spite of being dead for over 4 years. I always remember his famous tirade. |

Well technically, he wouldn't since the Jets won a game but I get the humor.  If the jets put a dead Denny Green on the sideline this year, they’d win 3 games easy. |

GM needs final say on hirings and firings. Obviously the GM and HC should have a functional relationship so if the HC goes to the GM and wants to make changes to his staff he can.
Douglas should have the power to tell the coach to play whoever in a lost season so he can evaluate. Like James Morgan playing QB. Would have practically secured the tank under the guise of evaluating a draft pick.
