So even if the Jets go undefeated, they keep the #2 pick choice A is probably the choice if they go for a QB like Wilson or Fields. this choice is almost a guarantee if Darnold is traded. choice B is probably the choice if they go for a dude like Sewell or Chase, or the lesser of Wilson/Fields. this choice would likely mean Darnold has stuck around and the Panthers or Falcons want to get ahead of each other for a QB. wouldnt get as many picks normally but since they are division rivals maybe a lot? Choice C is probably the choice if they are happy going for a dude like Wyatt Davis or Rousseau or Paye or the next tier of WR after Chase. this choice would definitely mean Darnold has stuck around and JD is going full-on-boner mode for picks. would def result in 3 first rounders for 2022. what say you? in this simultator: www.profootballnetwork.com/mockdraft/ i've been having the most intrigue trading to #12 with the 49ers. my pick there is usually wyatt davis. i could see the pick being patrick surtain if he were to drop. what i do think could benefit the jets the most is convincing carolina and atlanta to compete with each other for a trade-up. both will have their favorite QB, and both may be willing to overpay for the #2 pick to get that QB. this makes choice B my favorite option because youre guaranteed a tier 2 player (lawrence is the only tier 1) and could get a higher than usual return for a drop of just 2-3 picks.

Unless something has changed we've still got a crap ton of holes to fill.
Stockpile picks and keep fingers crossed that Joe D drafts well.

C. I am tired of half-a-loaf! I want a 300lb FB; Tight Ends, cover corners and down low safeties! I want rustlers, cut throats, murderers, bounty hunters, desperados, mugs, pugs, thugs, nitwits, halfwits, dimwits, vipers, snipers, con men, Indian agents, Mexican bandits, muggers, buggerers, bushwhackers, hornswogglers, horse thieves, bull dykes, train robbers, bank robbers, ass-kickers, shit-kickers and Methodists.

Oh Lord! Do we have the strength to pull off this mighty task in one draft…or are we just jerking off?

It's not very often your team will be able to select a player @2 overall. Even the Jets had to give up a ransom to move up for Darnold @3. If JD thinks one of these QB's makes sense with 2 overall you have to pull the trigger on a QB.
I understand the love for a player like Sewell but after drafting Becton I'd go a different route building the Oline because if you drop two high picks on the same position, how do you justify giving both of them another contract. We still have a shit ton of early picks this year and next year which can be devoted to the Oline.
When Sam Darnold is your starter and you have the second overall pick in a strong QB class you have to pick the QB.

Having said that I really think sewell and chase are overrated. If I had to choose one I'd go chase. But ultimately I think it's gonna come down to Wilson at 2 or a trade down to 10-15 for that kings ransom. Both possibilities have major risks tho.

It will no doubt be an interesting offseason if we end up staying locked in at 2. Sewell is not overrated and I don't think anyone thinks Chase is worthy of the #2 selection. I could see a trade down but I highly doubt we go down to the 10-15 range. I still think we need to come out of this draft with a first round QB....it's nice to have a lot of ammo for once.

Will Joe D have to trade Darnold first before the draft or will he draft and then trade him(if he decided to draft a QB)?

If he gonna draft a QB, then before the draft. Otherwise darnold trade value lower after drafting a QB.
