I think this is all the more reason that, short of a blockbuster deal, the Jets should reset with Darnold for another year. If there wasn't a lot of interest, that would be telling IMO.

Very torn about this. I wanted this kid to succeed (duh) but I also fear they have ruined him. Bad Oline and lack of targets aside, it also seems like the self-inflected stuff really hasnt improved. On the bright side, the absence of Gase and his bizarro aura can only help him.

Sometimes things fall into place and solve themselves. I think JC and Salah should keep all options open. I'd like to see him behind a competent O line with some play makers. However, if someone offers the Jets a first rounder for him either this year or next, make the deal. I'd consider two second rounders too but try to extract more.

I did hear this morning on Chicago talk radio the bears have inquired about acquiring Carson Wentz from the Eagle. No idea how serious they are and/or if anything was offered.

Maybe its been done already, but if Sam is truly confident and a leader, he should approach Salah/Woody and tell them in no uncertain terms they are making a huge mistake in wasting a pick on a QB or trading him. Tell them keep me and use the pick to generate Oline and recievers. Look them right in the eye. (Then start laughing and say just fuckin with yah lolgfy?) Then again, if they keep him and he fucks up again, the league will know it was him as well as Gase and his trade value will be nil.

I had high hopes for Sam. I think he is a likeable kid and got dealt a shit hand here. That said, if some moron is willing to give us a first rounder (Indy, Pitt, SF) we should put a bow on him and wish him the best
If that sounds like I am on the Watson pipe it is because I am.

Agree with L and Green. If the reports are factual, what are the other GM's seeing in Darnold to inquire if he is available? I would think any GM worth his pay in the NFL is sitting with his staff and watching tape of every QB who may bee available if they need a QB. If this premise is correct, then others are seeing how little help Darnold has had with the Jets, how shitty his coaching staff was and how he made himself look bad by taking risks to try to generate point in a train wreck of an offense.

I don't think we are getting Watson In which case I say pick the Lineman Sewell and be set for life with dominating O Line and maybe Sam will look better, also in a system he can play in

If Darnold is traded, which QB do you want?
I’m on record as saying I want Wilson.
