Persuasive, I have to admit, but I'm not sold on smiin' Jimmy G or Carr either. Too many whispers about Carr's personality and it seems like Jimmy G simply does not give two sh*ts anymore. But what else are we gonna do while Zach figures it out (if he ever does)? Such a Jets place to be.

Don’t need the best QB, need the right QB. Amen.

If they can get him for something reasonable cap and trade wise I am fine with it. Just don't want to lose a lot of other players for one old player who isn't sure he even wants to play.

I can’t stand Brandon Marshall - never made the playoffs once and he was a jet for 2 minutes at the end of his career and while he had a nice season in 2015, it ended in the same disappointing fashion as every other one over the last 12 years. For him to think he is some kinda jet spokesperson is just annoying. Rather hear Braylon Edwards at least they got to 2 AFC championship games when he was here.

Carr refusing to waive his no trade clause. Raiduhs gotta trade or cut him by Feb 15 to avoid 40m cap hit. Smart move by Carr, force them to cut him, then he can sign with team of his choosing and they didn’t have to lose assets to get him.

If Rodgers is available he is the choice. By a wide margin. You dont worry about 5 years from now. In two years we will be debating whether to tank for Arch Manning regardless of who we get to play QB.

The guy would check out of plays whenever he wanted and wouldn't come in early to work with his wrs. Then he would subtly shit on his coaching staff and WRs in post game press conferences following a loss. In his last playoff loss to the Cowboys it lookes like he didn't give a shit and in his press conference after the game it was more of the same. He's a 39 year old piece of shit who's just showing up for the check. I don't want any part of the guy which means we're getting him. FML.

He could sip ayahuasca on the sidelines and still play better than what we have gotten the past 20 years.

All things considered if we don't have to trade any picks I think Carr is the logical choice. Decent QB, 32 when the season starts, longer term solution, can configure the contract to allow for cap space to be available when this rookie class is due for new contracts.

Rodgers is a hippie, born 40 years too late.

Either one is better than any QB we've had in my lifetime. My preference is Rodgers bc the ceiling is much higher albeit for a shorter time. I dont care about long-term. Ive seen too many windows slam shut, too many injuries, too many SOJ moments to even think about 3 or 4 years from now. What number do you think Jacoby will be wearing?
