A trade for the 6th pick would not happen anytime soon anyway, and I doubt this will ever happen. Eagles are giving up a lot, yet I still feel like losing 14 spots and likely having a low 1st next year is a gamble. I'm not sure if I agree but I wouldn't be opposed.

If this happens it would happen the night of the draft when the Jets are picking. The Eagles would have to be certain they could get Mariotta for this to even work.

I'm not racist, I'm just pro white. Your name suggests you are a red skin.

Look out for the Skins at 5 as a possible trade partner with the Eagles....perfect opportunity to recover some picks from the RGIII trade...... A franchise QB going to the Eagles from another team in their division? A tone one of picks that could set the Skins up for the next 8-10 years from another team in their division? Highly, highly unlikely. Another reason that the trade would more than likely have to come from the Jets.

Im hitching my hope-wagon to the Philly Foles trade scenario, but I know I am likely to be disappointed.

That really leaves Jacksonville and the Raiders as potential trade partners.

Let's not forget Cleveland either. Haslam wants to make a splash and if Mariotta drops to the jets the jets might get another trade offer. The jets are in a prime spot come draft day!

Getting Mariota isn't nearly the splash that getting Manziel was for Cleveland. And neither would be as big as johnny football getting the starting job.

Moving up to 6 getting a QB that is better than Johnny football ever was is not a bigger splash? Come on man! Also Johnny boy has to get out of rehab if he ever is going to get a shot to start....good luck Cleveland! Their QB situation is worse than ours.

I'd take Mariota over Manzeil every day, but that's me. Johnny Football is a huge name, who made a huge splash. He had the number 1 selling jersey, Mariota wouldn't dent the top ten. They both had similar success in college, both won a Heisman. Both have to shorthand their college success will translate into NFL success. Has nothing to do with who's better, more people know who Manzeil is.
