Look I understand he has a defense, and there's another side to the story, and i know this is a business with little sentiment. The whole holdout situation and his constant hard ball tactics pandering to him and his agents left a bitter taste in my mouth, the fact he opted to join the enemy and won the prize sickens me as a Jet fan. Why can't we just move on and get over it? I'm more than fine with telling Revis to go fuck himself and chasing a Maxwell, Chris Harris or Kareem Jackson instead. But there's no doubt that Revis shits all over those guys and is still arguably the best at his position. A position where we happen to suck a bag of dicks and a position that is vital to the way Bowles likes to operate his defense. I still think Revis ultimately winds up back in New England, but I certainly wouldn't flip out if we brought back one of the few generational talents we've ever had who could take our defense back to a truly elite level. If he comes back I won't be complaining at the upgrade at the position, what I'm saying is I still will resent him and harbour no affection for him as a Jet anymore. I would much rather get younger and get a more long term solution at corner, I'm all in on Maxwell right now. I would just like the Jets to walk away with their heads held high over Revis, not go back suckin his dick like they did since the day they drafted him.

I doubt this report is true, how creative do you have to be when you have 60 million in cap space? You either want him and pay him or you don't. Yeah I don't get that either...just like peebag said Woody should shut his mouth...that's if this shit is true.

Revis can chew a fat one. I loved Revis as much as the next Jet fan but the day he slipped a cheats jersey on was the day any affection towards him died. Now we want to creep back while he's parading around in his cheat ring not a month after dancing around with Kraft and the hoodie? Well fuck that. We are expected to just forget the images of one of our best draft picks ever cementing his legacy with the enemy. To much water under the bridge, let's not add insult to injury by giving this scumbag the satisfaction of our desperation. Go for Maxwell and Cro. rep given for being fuckin HARDCORE!

Watching Revis back in green and white, with his Patriots SB ring, would make me ill. I think this is a torment we can spare ourselves what with the other CB options available. I don't get why we couldn't have Revis with Woody/Idzik/Rex (who needed him for his blitzing defense) but it's ok to have him with Woody/Macagnan/Bowles (who needs him for his blitzing defense). This sheds doubt on the theory that it was Woody who didn't want to pay Revis or deal with his agents. And leads straight to our favorite GM Idzik, who was too cheap to get Revis, and probably didn't just to spite Rex/speed his departure
And there's a report in NJ.com that Woody is "prepping" for Revis's return. I wonder how he's doing that? Going to the gym and practicing not blinking? Holding out longer?

Wouldn't suprise me to see Tanny in Miami go after Revis, he has been releasing players freeing up cap space and they need a CB.

And for those who say Rex never developed any player outside of the D-line, Rex basically made Revis's career, creating Revis Island.

Over half of that has to go to the draft. They are in a world of shit right now and there is no way they can sign any top free agent at this point.

I get the business side of things. I really do, but as a fan, I want to be able to root for players who are more than just carpet baggers or hired guns. I want to root for players who are Jets. I read something about the NY Rangers today, and Mark Stahl expressed a sentiment you never seem to hear from football players. nypost.com/2015/03/03/how-mats-zuccarello-embodies-the-rangers-culture-change/In a nutshell I would very much like to be able to root for players who express the same sentiment about the Jets. If Revis signs with the Jets, I would feel a lot better about it if he said something like "Even though I left, I was always a Jet, and I'd like be a part of winning with the Jets". Wishful thinking I guess....

I could care less that Revis played for the Pats last season, however, I don't want the Jets to devote a quarter of their available cap space to signing a CB (albeit an elite one). I'd rather just sign 2.

We can get two good corner backs for the price of Revis, I say pass. With that being said I will welcome him back with open arms.

We got fairly compensated for his departure so how can we complain about losing him? Sheldon is a beast. Revis was great here and if he comes back that would be cool. But I like what Woody has done here. He's not stupid, people that earned that kind of fortune aren't in the business of doing stupid shit. He's cleverly declared a psychological war on the Patriots and he gave the greedy Revis camp all the leverage. The Patriots can only lose now. They either own up and pay Revis 20M, thus making their team weaker by losing substantial cap space or they lose Revis out right to the highest bidder in Free Agency. There's no winning for them. And the Jets are in a win/win situation because the Pats are already preparing for the worst by not franchise tagging McCourty.
Say what you want, but Woody Johnson has calculated his every move in my opinion and it's just awesome!

I don't mind either
