I thought they had a GM up there in Buffalo They have, shame he's a pussy and willing to collaborate with Rex...ala Tanny. I doubt that. He sounds like a control freak and is the reason Marrone is no longer there.

Please define what you mean by the phrase "with our personnel". What are you trying to imply, exactly? If you're unable to grasp the concept of roster quality and it's influence on a team's ability to win football games then I cannot help you. It also goes a long way to explaining your general lack of football knowledge and level of sophistication when discussing the NFL here. LOL, much more tactful than what I was planning to say - the roster sucked rocks.

Funny how everybody here suddenly thinks Rex is the greatest coach ever. You all fucking HATED him. Just months ago. No football has even been played since you all talked nonstop about how much you couldn't stand the clown... Now the Bills are going to take over the AFCE... LOLZ FWIW I was never in the hate Rex camp but it was his time to go. He's a HC with limitations. He's not great at evaluating talent or developing players. He is a great motivator which is why he is a good fit for the team in Buffalo. It's reasonably well developed and they are bringing in vets at key offensive positions to work around his limitations. The have a good defense and they are putting together a serviceable offense. That's the kind of team Rex needs to succeed (e.g. Jets 09-10). It would be foolish to overlook what is going on in Buffalo because Rex's tenure in NY turned into a dumpster fire. I know there's a couple... Jetstream and me and a couple few and far between, maybe VTN were some of the rare few who weren't all that crazy about Rex getting canned, but we knew it had to be done. Now all the sudden with these moves hordes of ppl are all talking like he's the best in the biz.

It would be foolish to overlook what is going on in Buffalo because Rex's tenure in NY turned into a dumpster fire. Overlook what's going on in Buffalo? What's going on, exactly? They traded an up and coming star at LB for a 27 year old RB who is making $10.5 million this year, doesn't want to be there and didn't look nearly like the same player last year as he did in 2013. McCoy will probably give them an 1100-1200 yard rusher for the next 2-3 years. And to acquire that, they gave away a player who has the talent to be a perrenial pro-bowler for the next decade and a legit cornerstone piece on defense. And Cassel sure as hell isn't going to give them the kind of production that Orton gave them last year. I'm not saying these were all genius moves but it's not like there isn't an apparent plan in their roster moves. They knew what they were getting in Rex and what he needed to win. They are building a team similar to the 2009-10 Jets. Rex needs vet pieces in an offense. So they are giving him a vet RB and QB. Is Cassel any worse than Sanchez was his first couple years? McCoy expected to produce significantly less than Jones did for us? (Can they find somebody to run for three yards and collapse into an LB like Greene?) Expect them to make some moves to rebuild the O-line this year and next. Buffalo has a good front seven even with the trade. Maybe Rex implores management to give him better CBs this year or next. Put all those pieces together and you have a team that is built very similar to Rex's best years. I'm not suggesting Buffalo gets to the AFCE any time soon but they aren't a circus either.

Rumours surfacing today of the Eagles proposing to trade their first, second and third round picks this year and next year, plus their first and second picks in 2017 and possibly Nick Foles to the Bucs for pick 1 and Mike Evans.

These moves are good for the Bills in the short term but not long term - Rex and the Bills are carving out a window for the immediate future, much like he did here when he first arrived. As talked about earlier in this thread Kiko will last a hell of a lot longer than McCoy and is on the upswing of his career, meanwhile Cassel is a journeyman QB that they gave up another pick for in a draft where they're already extremely limited.
This could very well all work out for Rex and his motley crew but they don't have much time to make it work. People are quickly forgetting that he basically has the exact same coaching staff he had here...a few splashes don't guarantee anything.

Surprise jets are sitting on their laurels doing nothing while Rex and the Bills continue to improve. The jets need to make a big move and quick or else they are going to be a MASSIVE circus next year. Wow, you couldn't have been more wrong! Happy with how the Jets have won Free Agency (which hasn't even started yet)?

OMG! If you are Tampa, you have to take that deal unless you are in love with one of the QBs. What a truckload of picks/value. Losing Evans is the only negative in this scenario, but I still do it.
