They now have $17 million left of their cap space. $12 million of that they can spend on free agents. Still need a starting Guard, starting LB, starting RT and a starting SS. Good luck with that. And they don't have a 1st or 4th round pick this year. And they gave up picks for Cassel. Who knows what that means. I'm sure it's probably a 6th this year and another late pick next year. So they will probably have 4 picks this year. It's like Rex under Tanny.

Can they still dump some salary? Restructure guys? If not, then you're point is a great one and I can't see the Bills being a huge threat to go after David Harris, Revis, etc.

Which they won't do b/c that weakens their biggest strength. They can restructure Mario's contract but that will kill their cap in future years. They can cut Fred Jackson and save $2.7 million but I don't think they will b/c he's a favorite in Western, NY. They also have to re-sign Dareus after this year. They're definitely all in this year.

How would you feel if you're Christian Ponder right now? He was also buried on the Vikings depth chart and completely forgotten, and Rex chose Cassel over him.

Bills have a captain for their games against New England.

As per Rotoworld: "Bills acquired QB Matt Cassel and a 2015 sixth-round pick from the Vikings in exchange for a 2015 fifth-round pick and 2016 seventh-round pick."

Reported: Bills trade 2015 5th rounder (from Bucs) and 2016 7th rounder to Vikings for Cassel and the Vikes 2015 6th rounder.
So they give up 5(1) this year and 7th next year for Cassel and 6(12).
So they lose over 1 round this year 5(1) to 6(12) and the 7th next year.
