So without knowing the exact details of the Skrine and Carpenter deals for this year... We're currently sitting on $30,347,468 in cap space remaining Add in those two and we're still probably hovering over $20 mil Harris for 7 mill, Revis for 16, carp 5 and skrine 5...after cutting Harvin we should have over 60 in space. We should be near 30-35Mill

It was a no-brainer. Very happy with this contract. Hopefully in 2 years we have a future QB and we can send Revis on his way and allocate that money for the QB and guys like Sheldon and Wilk. Until then we need something to root for. The secondary made us unwatchable last year.

What would that be around 5mill No, the rookie scale brings that $30 down to $24,266,645 (although I'm not sure if that compensates for the amount of picks) I'm getting this from www.spotrac.com/nfl/new-york-jets/cap/ which still doesn't have the details of the Skrine and Carpenter deals So then realistically we're probably sitting just UNDER $20 million left EDIT Actually I'm not sure if this even accounts for Harvin...I'm assuming it is but not sure

Now go draft an OLB who can fly off the line and get to the QB. Add some legit speed off the edge and you have the making of a scary good defense.

He wasn't exactly lights out with the Pats last year.

Very curious to see what the numbers are. I'm sure he fleeced us. But for how much.

He wasn't exactly lights out with the Flats* last year. He has definitely lost a step but he is still a top CB. We had to spend the money on something and no franchise QBs hit FA until they are over the hill.

Am I the only one that isn't happy? When he left, weren't most of us satisfied that we weren't going to overpay for a corner? Because it makes no sense for your highest paid player to be the corner? And to boot, the most selfish guy since Keyshawn? Mevis, right? And now, the only thing that's changed is he's another year removed from his best seasons? And he bears the stench of that shit up north? I hope Revis drinks enough champagne tonight to kill him. Go Jets. Yes. He's still one of the top corners in the game, Jets have one of the worst situations. You'd be stupid not to be happy about this. And I think you're stupid. Revis is an upgrade as a player, no question. I just don't like him. He's garbage as a human being, and I'm not interested in him playing for my favorite team. I do think a lot of people are going to be very disappointed when they realize he's not the dominant force he once was, which is why he was so fun to watch. At the end of the day, he's a jerk off who will come in, cash a few more checks, not win a meaningful game again with this team, go to the Hall of Fame... and the most meaningful accomplishment of his career will have come with hugs from Bill and Tom.

If we draft a OLB #6 they are going to have a great chance at winning defensive rookie of the year. They'll have tons of time to get to the QB with Revis, Skrine, Milliner, and hopefully Gilchrist locking up WRs. Plus lots of one on one match ups playing with our DLine.

We're currently sitting on $30,347,468 in cap space remaining Add in those two and we're still probably hovering over $20 mil We were at $58M (if you count the Harvin release) - $16M Revis - $ 7.5M Marshall - $ 5M Carpenter - $ 6.25M Skrine - $ 7M Harris - $ ?M Powell - $ 5M Rookies I think we're at $11.25M minus whatever Powell's cap hit is
