Sort of off topic... Can the league file tampering charges on their own or do they need a team to file them? Like in this case, the Lions say they're okay with it, but the NFL obviously doesn't want owners to be talking to players under contract with other teams. Can the NFL on its own say there is tampering here? The team has to file them I believe

Haha the Patriots look like whiny fucking babies now. That and their ball cupping fag fan base. A fan base that can't understand the rules of the game. Woah, that's harsh!

You should be! I swear my life's goal on this forum is to release you from the curse of being a Flats* fan and allow you to be the Jets fan you know you are. I imagine it will go something like this: I didn't choose the Flats*...the Flats* chose me! HAHAHAHA well played sir. Glad you made it to the hampur. Keep this up much longer tho and I am going to have to carry your fat ass up the mountain like this:

I'm outraged.™ I ain't no referee. The only rules I know is, if you win you get a big shiny trophpy. Its wikked awesome. You're lucky this league doesn't vacate titles and remove wins from the books when they find out about the cheating a couple years later.

But the silly minor infractions really don't affect the outcome of games. And everyone does it.

And if you've ever played football in a league higher then Pee Wee, which I'm sure you haven't, you would know that the walk thru is basically a dress rehearsal for the game. Not a minor infraction. Too bad Goodell burned the tapes or else the NFL would have had no choice but to strip the Flats* of their Super Bowl win. Yet you tools still call him a "Jets fan" b/c he worked 1 year as an intern for the Jets. Let's disregard the fact that he's butt buddies with the Flats* Owner and destroyed evidence for his butt buddy.

The only thing they ever did wrong was film teams from the wrong location. Late Tuesday night, the Boston Herald issued an apology on its Web site, saying: "While the Boston Herald based its Feb. 2, 2008, report on sources that it believed to be credible, we now know that this report was false, and that no tape of the walk-through ever existed." The most scandalous tidbit that emerged Tuesday after Walsh spent more than six hours in the meetings was a snippet of tape that showed not football but close-ups of San Diego Chargers cheerleaders performing during a 2002 game.

You mean Belidick somehow figured out fair and square that Marshall Faulk was the focal point of the Rams' offense? Hard to believe considering that Martz kept that tightly under wraps until the pre-game walkthrough.

Where there's smoke there's fire. There are a bunch of articles floating around that haven't been retracted that say that Rex and Tranny encouraged Alosi and other Jets coaches to trip players on the sidelines. They must be true -- where there's smoke there's fire.

yah, you need to check your facts.. And you, "sir", need to learn the second thing about football. Your football knowledge is zilch, yet you spend your life on a rival message board.

Yes the Patriots only crime was filming from sidelines. That's why they lost a 1st round pick, 500K fine for BB and 250K for the Pats. That makes sense lol. You guys live in a fucking fantasy land if you think they got that big of a fine and it was only b/c they filmed from the sidelines. And lets not forget that Josh McDaniels, who was on the Pats staff during Spygate, got fined for sending a guy to tape the 49ers walkthrough when he was head coach of the Broncos. I wonder where he learned that from?
