yah, you need to check your facts...the Rams walk through thing never happened. The only thing they ever did wrong was film teams from the wrong location. Late Tuesday night, the Boston Herald issued an apology on its Web site, saying: "While the Boston Herald based its Feb. 2, 2008, report on sources that it believed to be credible, we now know that this report was false, and that no tape of the walk-through ever existed." The most scandalous tidbit that emerged Tuesday after Walsh spent more than six hours in the meetings was a snippet of tape that showed not football but close-ups of San Diego Chargers cheerleaders performing during a 2002 game. Yes the Patriots only crime was filming from sidelines. That's why they lost a 1st round pick, 500K fine for BB and 250K for the Flats*. That makes sense lol. You guys live in a fucking fantasy land if you think they got that big of a fine and it was only b/c they filmed from the sidelines. And lets not forget that Josh McDaniels, who was on the Flats* staff during Spygate, got fined for sending a guy to tape the 49ers walkthrough when he was head coach of the Broncos. I wonder where he learned that from? Sounds kind of like the fucking fantasy land where people live who think that Goodell is in Kraft's back pocket. Or the other fucking fantasy land where people live who think Belidick would voluntarily turn over tapes that had anything more incriminating than footage of the opposing team's sidelines.

The only people living in a fantasy land are Pats*** fans that think their Super Bowl titles are legit and that the Pats*** haven't ever cheated and don't continue to cheat. When everyone else in the nation thinks otherwise except for in that shit hole corner of the Northeast, it's you that's living in a fantasy land.

So you're telling me you wouldn't give your best friend preferential treatment if he was in trouble? It's widely known that he's best friends with that tool Kraft. You idiots saying he gives favoritism to the Jets b/c he worked there are so dumb. He worked there in 1983 for 1 year in the PR department. Woody wasn't even the owner at that time. He has zero allegiance to Woody or the Jets. If anything he's a Bills fan since he's from Jamestown, NY and that's about 60 miles south of Orchard Park. But you dumbasses are too stupid to even realize that. The guy who turned the tapes over was that Walsh tool, not BB.

That sounds like patsfans.com drivel to me. But if he really favored the Patriots, Kenny Phillips would have begun his career in Foxboro and Kraft's wallet wouldn't be nearly as light.

He'll probably made that back in beer sales for 1 home game. And they went light on the Patriots in my opinion. For bounty gate the Saints got fined $500K, docked two 2nd round picks, HC was suspended for a year and the GM was suspended for 8 games. Patriots had no suspensions, even though BB got fined $500K in comparison Payton lost $5.8 million in salary by being suspended. So the argument that the Patriots received a harsh penalty is laughable. What they did directly impacted many many games. The Jets game wasn't the first time they video taped signals, that's how Mangini knew what they were doing. What the Saints did was bad in their own right but what they did didn't give them a competitive advantage. But video taping signals def gave the Patriots a competitive advantage. But since you're all in fantasy land, somehow the Patriots got hit really really hard.

For sports commissioners who know what they're doing, cheating the salary cap means losing FIVE first round draft picks, the player(s) who was illegally signed and $3.5 million in fines. For the buffoons who run the NFL, it's two 3rd round picks and less than $1 million in fines. If that is the fine for cheating the salary cap in NFL, then what both the Patriots and the Saints got is ridiculously excessive and disproportionate.

If that is the fine for cheating the salary cap in NFL, then what both the Patriots and the Saints got is ridiculously excessive and disproportionate. You're using the ruling in 1998 against the Broncos when Goodell wasn't even Commissioner. When the Redskins and Cowboys violated the cap rules during the uncapped year the Redskins lost $36 million in cap space over a two year period and the Cowboys lost $10 million over that same period. Your example of punishment will never happen b/c the NFLPA will never allow the NFL to void a players contract, ever. So although maybe the old Commish got it wrong in '98, Goodell got it right with the Cowboys and Redskins. Plus I don't think teams, coaches or players can be fined more than $500K anymore. Furthermore, the Patriots and Saints punishment aren't even close to each other as far as being excessive. The Patriots got off easy compared to the Saints and only the biggest Pats homer wouldn't see that.

JetBidi started a thread about the NFL hiring its first female ref, and immediately thought about BB "seducing" her. BB has permanent residence in JetBidi's head, and he sure as hell isn't the only one.

People love to take it as a given that the Flats* had a black ops van parked in Kraft's secret underground lair, with Ernie Adams sitting there deciphering other teams' hand signals like Rain Man during a 15 minute halftime, signaling them back to the stadium on a special frequency directly to Sparklepony's helmet, at which point he did his own Rain Man impression and took the cues to read a defense and make a play in a ridiculous amount of time.
If all of that is true, then goddamn, Belidick is one impressive motherfucker. And the entire Jets organization should be monumentally embarrassed for getting their asses kicked for years because of this subterfuge. In fact, the entire league should hang its head in shame that a single human being could whip the shit out of them over an extended period of time, with millions of dollars at stake.
Same principle applies to Deflategate. Since the rule change allowing QBs to prepare their game balls 7 years ago, the Flats* have turned the ball over at least 175 times. That is 175 times an opponent has had a chance to touch the ball and think, "hmm, this feels different." No one noticed until this year? REALLY?

Kinda ironic that the alpha city has a beta owner, and vice versa.

That's EXACTLY what the Pats were punished for. It really can't be any clearer.

You're lucky this league doesn't vacate titles and remove wins from the books when they find out about the cheating a couple years later. I'm sure if it was serious enough they would. But the silly minor infractions really don't affect the outcome of games. And everyone does it.PS - And everyone does it. (I think that's what those ISIS guys say, "Hey, al qaeda does it....so It must be okay.")
