Love it. To all the knuckleheads who say, "We just HAVE TO go offense" and "The ONE THING I know is that we won't go Defensive Line" I just have to say that GMs are a different breed. You can mock all you want, you print out thousands of spreadsheets in your mother's basement and run all the numbers you want, but you can't always predict what a guy will do who has lived and breathed football his whole life. Mac went BPA and I love it. Don't worry about Mo or Richardson....we'll make this work. This DLine was sick and is now unimaginable. Thy're not going to pay Mo; is tagging him out of the question?

the thing is, we're sitting on a mountain of potential in Coples if he's shifted to the Dline. that's where he ought to play. Him at DE/DT is an unquestionable boost. Now what? Keep him at OLB? Reeeeally?
My pants are soaked with disappointment. It would be like the Colts drafted Winston...

Bill Parcells and the "Planet Theory." Google it kids. I was thinking about that tonight. There's only so many men on the planet that are big and athletic and when you get the shot to draft one, you do it. Or just listen to Bowles comments in tonights presser - they took their highest rated guy left on the board. Had that been an offensive player, they'd have taken him. But said point blank that he and Mac agree, when you draft that high, you take BPA. You dont reach on need. Need doesnt factor in to the process.

It would be like the Colts drafted Winston... Not really, because you dont platoon QBs. With Bowles defense, he can find enough snaps for Mo, Sheldon, Leonard, Coples, and Snacks, and keep them all playing at a high level in the 4th quarter.

How many snaps was the USC defense in third and long? Sounds like a cherry picked stat with a small sample size. And he doesnt have to be the best player in the draft. He just needs to be top 6. Which most everyone agrees he was.

Kevin White was graded only .6 points below him on the NFL grades.

My problem isn't with Williams, he seems like a great prospect, but we simply had zero need in that department. Coples moving to the Dline would have been MORE than enough back up.

Yeah, doesnt really answer the question. If this term is used...
.... its a cherry picked stat IMO. Its a tiny sample size. Did they have 1000 3rd and long snaps or 3? Totally different outlooks.
And who's saying hes the next coming of God? He just needs to be top 6 this year. And if the Mo money situation goes south over the next few years, we'll all be happy we drafted him.
Im copyrighting that "MO MONEY"
