How can ANYONE be upset? I mean this was a pick we would absolutely regret passing on if we went for need over BPA. Coach said it last night... you dont draft fir need when arguably the best player in the draft is sitting in your lap.
Maybe we start playing 4-3?

SBIII is correct - we got the projected best player overall in the draft - I'm elated!

Was just going to start thread asking that same question. Definitely worth exploring.

I voted "Yes", but have since come across this:
Jets No. 6 overall pick DE Leonard Williams is believed to have a shoulder issue that "might slow [his] development a bit."
Dr. David Chao also passed along a report Thursday night that Williams is believed to have labrum tears in both shoulders. That would obviously be an extreme cause for concern, but NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Jets don't believe Williams' shoulder problem is a "long-term concern." With RE Muhammad Wilkerson and LE Sheldon Richardson, the Jets can take it slow with Williams.

He had that surgery before last season. He said his shoulder issue is no longer. He played last season post surgery and played well. Sounds like over analyzing a situation to me. Football players get injured. Good luck finding one that doesn't have something wrong with them at some time.

Redskins pass on Leonard Williams
USC defensive tackle Leonard Williams was widely believed to be the best player in this draft. The Redskins should have been pinching themselves when he was still on the board with the fifth pick. A potential All-Pro had fallen into their lap! At the very least, they were well set up to convert all that Williams buzz into a lucrative trade, the exact scenario Scot McCloughan discussed days earlier. Instead, the Redskins stayed home and selected Iowa offensive lineman Brandon Scherff. When the Jets -- another team with plenty of existing defensive line depth -- scooped up Williams with the very next pick, it felt like a lesson on how to correctly accept a gift from fate. -- Dan Han

Coples for Tre Mason (Rams RB). Do it! They'd probably have to use him as an OLB too. (Apparently Zac Stacy wants out too. With Gurley now they're overloaded at that position too)

What's not to love? He skateboards with an iguana on his shoulder and will never be busted for DUI.

Unless we're suddenly going to fleece someone today, then i'd hazard the Jets to wait before making any "deals" for our guys. How they function and look in Bowles system could have a big impact on value and whom we're prepared to move on from.

I wonder what happened to the Rams moving up to 6 for a WR and giving us Austin. If it was discussed beforehand and agreed to, I wonder what went wrong.

The thought of Wilkerson, Williams, and Sheldon just body slamming QBs and RBs has me wanting to wear my boner pants.
Getting ready for the WWS Monday Night RAW!
