www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2015/05/11/aaron-hernandez-charged-witness-intimidation/27132529/A grand jury indicted Hernandez on Friday on the latest charge, according to the office of Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel Conley. It said the victim of the intimidation was a witness to the Boston killings, which happened on July 16, 2012. "Hernandez allegedly shot him in the face on the morning of Feb. 13, 2013, and left him to die on the side of the road in Riviera Beach, Florida, after the witness made a remark about the homicides," the office said in a news release. What an unbelieveable POS this guy is. You can't tell me no one on that team or front office knew he had a screw loose . . . EDIT: By the way - yeah - that's pretty intimidating I suppose - to get shot in the face and left for dead on a Florida roadway. Was that the best charge they could develop . . .

Oh look - Pats also signed Fred Davis
"The Patriots have reached an agreement with free-agent tight end Fred Davis, days after the former Redskin was re-instated by the NFL after being suspended for the 2014 for violating the league's substance abuse policy, per ESPN.com.
Davis, who signed a one-year deal with New England, will join a team with a crowded tight end situation, led by All-Pro Rob Gronkowski. Davis caught a career-high 59 passes for 796 yards in 2011 but has struggled with injury and league violations since then."
League violations? Why didn't you say so sir - go to the head of the line . . .

The NFL needs to get their act together and develop some consistency in meting out punishments. I can't believe people still justify Goodell's salary on the basis of being such a good commissioner. As the face of the franchise and dealing with this as a PR issue, he couldn't have been worse. Exhibit A his stumbling interview with Norah O'Donnell about the RAy Rice situation. He should have been fired, not given a gazillionty billion dollar raise!

The owners are raking in billions so they throw him $40 million or so. That TV money cures a lot of ills but I think one day they will kill the golden goose.

His job has become more than raking in the billions for the league. If he isn't the face of the league he shouldn't be appearing on news shows defending its actions to the Norah O'Donnels in the media. Once the NFL decided to go mainstream beyond the average sports fan in order to grow their revenues to a future $25 billion, things changed. Stuff that used to not matter (like domestic violence) is no longer tolerated, and the league erred in selecting this pasty dough faced loser to stand up there and represent the NFL to America., He gave the NFL a huge black eye with the arbitrary and erratic way he has handled anything besides revenue enhancement

Why do you think I left Florida? Different strokes for different folks. I actually loved living in Florida, but I was in Boca 2 blocks from the beach and A1A. Everyone was from the tri state area or Canada. I will admit it was kind of like the wild wild west down there tho haha. Everyone had a gun. I got approved within 3 days with an out of state licence and just showed my rental agreement.
