And during his way too long tenure, he had proven he was a terrible excuse for a scout and was an anchor dragging us into the shit abyss. FUCK Bradway. Thank the lord he is gone... Hopefully he can destroy a few dozen more front offices in Miami Sounds good except that as fans we have no clue which players wanted and which he didn't. Easy to blame him but if he was responsible for more good picks, or wanted the better ones and was overruled by Tanny or one of the coaches the FUCK Bradway is kind of hollow. I think his overall record over the last decade and a half, as well as that of the Jets, speaks for itself

First of all that was as GM, he hasn't been a GM for years. Secondly name the long time personnel guy who hasn't made a mistake. That's pointless. Add to that he didn't trade a first for Jolley. Over the the years you don't know who he pushed for or who he may influenced a GM yo take. If you found out that he influenced GMs to pick a Revis, Mangold, Brick, Harris it would be different than if his picks were Robertson, Gholston, Wilson etc. not saying he didn't suck but just saying we don't know if he was good or sucked.

Perfect example we've heard he pushed for Wilson and was overruled. Wasn't his call. How is that miss on his record. We don't know how often, or not, that this happened? As I've said, he could have sucked, been the worst, we just don't know.

It's not the job of a scout or personnel head to pick players. It's his job to rate players, rank them, make recommendations and advise. The GM takes that info and makes a pick. If he doesn't pick Russell Wilson when a scout is screaming to take him, it's his fuck up, not the scouts.

Not saying that they weren't just we don't know they were. Better question if his scouting abilities sucked as much as you're saying they did, why did he last with multiple GMs and as long as he did? Everyone inside the building knew who he pushed over the years, had his reports, his write ups on players and know how they panned out.

why did he last with multiple GMs and as long as he did? Because the GM's were just as incompetent?

why did he last with multiple GMs and as long as he did? Because the GM's were just as incompetent? Thats too easy. But why would a new GM read fucked up scouting reports and trust his job and legacy to a guy who sucks. That makes no sense

"Continuing a whirlwind flurry of wheeling-and-dealing, the Oakland Raiders on Wednesday evening achieved their goal of securing a first-round draft choice, by trading veteran tight end Doug Jolley to the New York Jets. In exchange for Jolley, who started 26 games in three seasons, the Raiders received the Jets' first-round choice, the 26th pick overall. Oakland had been without a first-rounder, having traded it to Minnesota as part of the package to acquire wide receiver Randy Moss from the Vikings. In addition to Jolley, the Jets got a second-round pick this year, the 47th selection overall, and a pair of sixth-round picks. The Raiders also got a seventh-round pick from the Jets. Oakland still owns its own second-round pick, the 38th overall. The second-rounder sent to the Jets was acquired from Houston on Tuesday night in a deal that sent former first-round cornerback Phillip Buchanon to the Texans." and with the second pick the jets got mike nugent. ain't the internet great. once is happenstance, twice coincidence.........

That makes no sense It's telling that a guy with a scouting background (Mac) came in and immediately got rid of Bradaway. Additionally, the "new" guys who kept him previously had limited scouting backgrounds.

What is your point? I said every GM makes makes a bad move. I agreed. They swapped out picks and got back picks along with Jolley. I knew this, didn't have to look it up. Apparently you you felt the need to remind us that they swapped

Yeah, either he doesn't respect Bradways opinion enough to keep around or he just wants to bring in guys he knows and has nothing to do with Bradway. Kind of my point, we don't know. He could hate Bradway on every level.
