Rachel McAdams is so fkn hot. Untethered by a child as well makes her even more attractive. The things I would do to that woman....

Have to keep in mind that every season is a new story so the first episode was basically character development and a little plot.
I thought the other two premieres flopped.

I thought "meh". Hope it gets better. Every character is so damaged and brooding. Unrealistically and Annoyingly so. I'll stick with it for now.

The first season didn't hit its stride until episode four...can't judge this season at all right now. I like the characters and where its going but its basically all been establishing plot and characters so far.

I disagree jcappy. I thought the first episode of the series was very engaging. This seems like WAY too much character development immediately out the gates like they are trying to replicate something but don't know how. I'm on the fence, I'll watch it regardless, but there's just no way that this is going to be anywhere near as good as Season 1. I will say that I've warmed up A LOT to Vince Vaughn and Colin Farrell though. I originally thought that they were trying to pair those characters together like they did with Matthew and Woody. But Colin playing a crooked cop, with a serious substance abuse problem, I thought he's really killing that role. I agree though, the extremely damaged characters feel forced. I also don't really care for the direction nor for the theme song which I find absolutely terrible. But what can you do, I think everyone was taken by surprise with how awesome season 1 was. The characters, the story, the director, the music, the twist.... the whole package. I felt right from the start that this couldn't be topped nor equaled and so far I think I'm proven right. I get that they needed to tie all of these characters into the same place at the same time, but they're all miserable fuck ups. Meh. Except for Colin Farrell, his character is pretty cool.

Season 1 definitely had a better hook. They're going to have some problems trying to live up to the first season without trying too hard or seeming like a parody. They're also juggling four main characters that aren't really working together (as of the first episode) vs two partners so there's bound to be some confusion. I see the concerns, just willing to give them the benefit of the doubt it all. McConnahay and Harrleson are producing this season at least so the same hands are involved.

Interesting, I wasn't aware of that. I just really liked the authenticity of the original story. It felt like it could be real, it was creepy, it was very well written and acted. Time will tell but, like I said, I'll watch it regardless. I think my biggest concern is that they're going to hijack the name due to the success, but each season will be a totally different experience. I'm not sure how to feel about that but knowing that I think it's easier to just accept season 2 for what it is and detach any emotion or expectations that I had because of season 1.

Not sure what the fuss is about. just watched the first episode and even though it was about setting up the season, I'm already intruiged.
Colin Farrell is really an underrated actor.
