Tannehill is an average NFL QB If you draft a guy, invest 4years in his developement, you have to see it out with the guy Cutting bait serves no purpose.....you can win with him. Just have to play a conservative brand of ball What does "see it out" mean? They have never made the playoffs. I understand that teams need continuity but continuity for the sake of continuity is not good IMO.

Let me ask you this
If Geno somehow morphs into Tannehill, are you offering him that contract, or are you letting him walk?

As a Jets fan, I am thrilled with this "deal"

Not going to bid against myself on a QB that is essentially a coin flip. He could just as easily regress this year. Tanny is a bean counter. He wanted his "cost certainty" and he got it.

Tranny fucked us in the ass with the Sanchez contract and he's following in his very own awesome footsteps. I love it. Especially after that monster Suh deal. I think he needs to give Tone Time a call.

It is literally the same exact situation. I would let Tannehill play out his contract and see how he performs under the pressure. If he does a Flacco and I have to overpay then so be it. At least I have a SB.

He's betting on tannehill......If Tannehill pans out and is a top 12 QB, the Phins get him at a nice discount Is Tannenbaum taking a risk? Of course he is......it's what he is.....he rolls them dice

Hell, Idzik may have even known better than to do something like that.

Tanny gets fired, the new GM (or VP) inherits his mess but Tanny gets to keep all his money bc his contract is guaranteed. I am glad Mr T took his talents to Miami.

Why do people think Tanny is their GM?

So where do you guys rank Tannehill? What tier is he in? I think he is below average. He sh!ts the bed in big games. Two years in a row they could have made the playoffs. Mrs Tannehill is elite. Mr, not so much. this is what The Official VTN QBR addressed, which I developed with a lot of scientific data gathering and number crunching. I believe he was rated "Will Never Win a Superbowl".

Why do people think Tanny is their GM? ============================================================= I was starting to wonder. But you have to believe he has his hands in this.
