G-Nope is an exact replica of Tony Banks. How long did Banks last? Dude Genesis are still going strong after about 50 years so I'd say he's passed the lasting test

This exactly. All the blather about G-Nope and the last 4 games of last year, ended up being nothing more than stupid fandome dribble. You can't compare the 4 final games last year to this year with G E N O, that is naïve. Sure, the strong finish may look the same, but if G-Nope is making good decisions, and looks the part down the stretch which also includes a game against the Pats**, then that is a step in the right direction for him, he's a year older, has gone through some real scrutiny this year, has been benched for several games, and if he continues to respond the way he did against the Vikes, then he deserves credit, not the trivial bullshit comparisons to last year
G E N O isn't running away from his poor play either, he owned it, dealt with it, and is responding the way we should want a QB to respond, it's part of the development process which no fans have any patience for anymore, and that is a mistake.
G E N O isn't going into the fetal position either, he's fighting back, playing with a chip on his shoulder, and seems to be playing with a real confidence.
Does it mean everything is ok again, he's our QB of the future? No, of course not, but he's part of the equation, and as fans, we should want our 23 yr old QB to play this way.
Compare? What would be naive is to believe all that bullshit at the end of last season. The bottom line is G E N O has grown very little if at all aside from who he is playing with, and that's all I can ask from a second year QB especially a second rounder from L.O.L WVU, and i haven't seen much growth other than his mouth getting bigger.

You missed a G-Nope Ray. But the kid is damaged goods. I called it from the start. Hes too dumb thinks hes better then he is, that's the chip you're referring too, and has the worst pocket presence field vision i have ever seen ever. He will never be an NFL QB. He lacks the God given talent. QB are born not made ray. most annyoying thing about him.

The talent exists, though that can be said for anyone who makes it to the pros, and perhaps he needs grooming. I recall reading that he was being given predetermined throws (i.e. on this play you throw to Decker no matter what). Any time that occurs, it could be a safe assumption that time and importance is being taken away from teaching the art of progression of reads. It is oddly reminiscent of Mark Sanchez and the stop light rule. His playbook was color coded for the situation. I can imagine that training wheels like that are not educational, but instead, limiting in capacity for growth.
I wouldn't put it out of the realm of possibility that an HC, OC, or QB coach could come in and emphasize more "dangerous" plays by encouraging a rookie to step up in the pocket, adjust plays at the line of scrimmage prior to snap based on what he sees, and call audibles. It is going to look like shit when a rookie doesn't get to sit on the bench and watch a moderately capable play-caller show how it is done, but like most things in life you learn through repetition, you learn through mistakes. I can't throw a playing card into a hat across the room, but give me 1,000 ground hog days in a row and I'll be a boss.
I've not written Geno's career off yet.

Any qb that cannot successfully manage to throw a screen pass really should find another type of employment.

What does this exactly mean? On one hand you would like to go further and develop Geno, and in another universe (sentence)you say he might not have any worth to our franchise moving forward but MAYBE he's part of the equation.

He should be part of the plans if he can finish the year playing well. He's in his 2nd year of a rookie contract as a 2nd round pick, he isn't a major investment for the team, he will be on the roster in the off-season, he will be a player competing at the position and the team should be developing him. How the fuck is this talking out of both sides of my mouth? There is no right or wrong here, dumbass, just the facts.
