Here's a neckbeard who thinks he knows a lot more than he actually does. My old man is a traffic judge for two counties and three townships and he dealt with a moron like this once. He let the guy record his hearing, state his "case" - over $500 in unpaid parking tickets - and then locked him up in county for the weekend and impounded his phone, which was "misplaced" in impound.

I was pretty arrogant and "unjustly persecuted by the system" ONCE. I had a backlog of traffic tickets; I decided to bring my checkbook to pay bail.
6 hours in East Meadow.

Here's a neckbeard who thinks he knows a lot more than he actually does. This, without a doubt. This is what happens when the prey-types get too much freedom.

This guy is part of the sovereign citizens movement. He's not just some idiot. He is an idiot but a special kind of idiot.
The sovereign citizen movement is a patchwork of beliefs and adherents may fall anywhere among those beliefs. It is one part fringe Christian nationalism, one part pro-slavery racism, one part desperation to avoid financial debts, one part a desire to screw people around, one part extreme violence and many parts stupidity.
There are a number of groups that sell these different sets of beliefs but many overlap in their beliefs so there is usually a shared group of ideas. They often believe there is a difference between one's legal identity and physical body and it is possible--even necessary--to separate the two. They usually believe the federal government is illegitimate and the federal courts are courts of admiralty with no jurisdiction over land. They often reject federal citizenship and consider themselves only a citizen of a state so federal law does not apply to them. They misinterpret commercial law to try to avoid debts. They will take pieces of laws and piece them together to create new laws that are convenient to them. They treat legal language like magic incantations.
These aren't just delusional conspiracy theorists and tax dodgers. There are very dangerous groups associated with this movement. Violent racist groups are often sovereign citizens as are many militia groups. There is a troubling history of sovereign citizens attempting to murder federal judges and officials. Most of the terrible domestic terrorist acts are people associated with the sovereign citizens. The OKC bombers were as was the guy who shot the congresswoman in Tucson. They also find it amusing to file fake liens on the property of people they don't like because it's expensive and time consuming to remove those liens. They are considered by many police agencies to be the most dangerous domestic terrorism threat in the country.

I just got a very expensive traffic for reading Teh Hampur going into the Holland Tunnel on my brand spanking new iPhone. I did not argue with the judge though

Eh, I don't need to avoid them personally, but my old man is advised when to wear Kevlar to court, which is usually once a week. He always carries and has had to draw on two people he's sentenced in court parking lots after they'd been given "unfavorable" rulings. Oh and another family member was on the Unibomber's hit list. That was an interesting. Glad I was in high school at the time. If I'd had kids, the FBI might have searched their fucking Cheerios instead of my backpack.

Some federal and local law enforcement groups view the domestic terror threat from sovereign citizen groups as equal to -- and in some cases greater than -- the threat from foreign Islamic terror groups, such as ISIS, that garner more public attention.
The Homeland Security report, produced in coordination with the FBI, counts 24 violent sovereign citizen-related attacks across the U.S. since 2010.
