Maybe, but after yesterday, it looks like he still has a long way to go. Ndamakong Suh going up against the Winters...Going to have to start drinking really early Sunday, or just get started Saturday night and not stop.

Well... I guess if we're gonna get the QB injured too this week, it may as well be Fitz so they can see just how MUCH Geno sucks for the future planning. Mr Bowles is a smart man! Thinking a head

What about the OL performance are you chalking up to be a problem because Winters is in line up? It amazes me how quickly some of you throw certain players under a bus no matter what they do, and most of the time fans make shit up to float their agenda on their targetes scapegoat players.... ?

No matter what they do? Winters has many games under his belt. And its a lot more bad than good. And I applauded the pick when we made it so if anything my agenda should be to boost him up.

The fact that he struggled with Brendan Bair when he came into the game yesterday. Got beat twice on two batted passes including one that resulted in an interception. For the record, I hope he plays great on Sunday assuming he starts against Miami, but I am not optimistic after what I saw yesterday.

On this very play, Fitz is the one that slides out of the pocket right into Bair coming around on Winter's block, if Fitz stays in the pocket, Winters does his job. Now, what we don't know is the design of the play, but based on the way the other OL'n were blocking, including Breno, it seems this was a standard drop back, and the OL created their U containment....

Are you daft? He's doing exactly what he's supposed to do, regardless of the design of the play; move away from the RB blitz pickup and towards the middle double team. Trouble is Winters was unable to handle Mangold's pass-off or just chose to stand flat-footed instead of pushing him to the outside. Mangold assumed responsibility to spy the LB. No other reason why Winters is so close to Mangold other than poor technique or his inability to move Bair off the spot. You worry about some Jets fans? Dude, you have a lot of nerve.

Even if I'm wrong about why he's standing so close to Mangold (please, offer your insight(s)), Fitzpatrick still makes the correct decision to slide away from the blitz pickup of Powell's, which is what you claim to be an incorrect decision (again, please elucidate further as to what you feel is correct). Otherwise, let it go and silently admit you were wrong on this one, it's ok, it's allowed. Breathe in, breathe out.
