On a defense with big names like Revis, Mo, and Richardson....Skrine is really kinda the glue that holds Bowles' DB heavy scheme in place. Would you think McDougle starts to get his game snaps as the third CB? Agree that Buster will be a big loss, especially against the Rats. I guess if Marcus Williams can't do then Dex is up. Trial by fire for the kid, for sure.

FLORHAM PARK — It is still unclear if Jets cornerback Buster Skrine will be able to play Sunday at the Patriots. But he showed signs of progress at Thursday's practice as he attempts to return from a concussion in time for this big game.
Skrine, the Jets' slot cornerback, is an important part of their defense, and they could certainly use him Sunday against quarterback Tom Brady.
PLUS: With New England Patriots' Tom Brady next, Jets' Leonard Williams wants to 'mess him up a little bit'
During Thursday's practice, Skrine had his helmet on, and also wore a red (non-contact) jersey. It was a step forward from Wednesday, when Skrine did not participate in practice — and wasn't even present for most of the 30-minute portion of practice, at the beginning, that is open to reporters.
It looked like Skrine could participate on a limited basis in Thursday's practice, but that was not entirely clear.
After a special teams period, Skrine put on his helmet and jogged over to join the defense on a far field. This happened right at the end of the open part of practice.
Here's an update on the Jets' other injured players, based on observations from the open portion of Thursday's practice:
• RB Bilal Powell (ankle): It looked like he'd miss his second straight day of practice. He didn't have his helmet with him Thursday. If Powell can't play Sunday, the Jets will turn to either Stevan Ridley (in his return from a knee injury, against his former team) or Zac Stacy to be the complementary back to Chris Ivory.
• WR Chris Owusu (knee): He was limited Wednesday, and has missed the past three games. Early in Thursday's practice, he ran around during a special teams period. It was unclear if he would fully participate in practice, or be limited again.
• CB Marcus Williams (hamstring): He is the Jets' top choice to replace Skrine as the slot corner, if Skrine can't play. Williams was also limited Wednesday. Like Owusu, Williams ran around in special teams action Thursday. Would he be limited Thursday or fully participate? Coach Todd Bowles is expected to provide the answer during his press conference later Thursday.
• S Jaiquawn Jarrett (knee): He didn't practice Wednesday, but he was at Thursday's practice with his helmet in hand. After the special teams period concluded, he jogged over to join the defense, just as Skrine did. It was unclear exactly how much action Jarrett, a backup, would get Thursday.

Ridley would be epic too. We are so in those fuckers heads it's crazy. We are like Mike Tyson and they have already been beat. That bitch Brady has been dreading this day.
