Are people giving him kind of a hard time? He missed training camp then preseason with broken ribs, he and Fitz are not on the same page at all. I think he was drafted with a Geno type QB in mind (ie someone who can throw it deep). Plus he is very slight and doesn't seem to have learned the difference between some college and NFL rules, and doesn't fight for the ball. I think he will be fine given some time.

He needs to spend more time in the weight room. Hell, Ragu's ex can probably bench press more than Smith can.

Dont think anybody blames Smith for that play.
Very small sample size but he doesnt seem too instinctive.

If people are complaining about him, they need to get their head checked.
He was open numerous times Sunday and Fitz was insanely inaccurate.

Yeah, I don't think anyone has been complaining about Smith. He's been WIDE open a million times, but Fitz can't get him the ball. The only play I didn't like was when he gave up on the INT, and that was probably because he's use to college rules.

Not sure whether smith has the playbook down and he is where he's supposed to be, or Fitz is throwin him some fluffy ducks and not givin the kid a chance.

Very small sample size but he doesnt seem too instinctive. explain He has allowed himself to get shielded from the ball a couple of times. I like guys who can adjust for the ball a la Marshall or Decker. We have seen some smaller WRs with that ability so I dont think it is a size issue. Also didnt like that he didnt down the guy after the INT. He instead chose to throw a mini tantrum and cost us like 30 yards in field position. Again, small sample size. We shall see.

You gotta be kidding... people need a fucking escape goat for everything these days so sick of this shit. The kid didn't even have training camp. Ad sorry but Fitz was lobbing it all over the damn place erratic as fuck. Marshall saves the day with those.

Especially the one that was highlighted in the tweet. I think Caporoso is creating an argument out of thin air.

He looks weak, and he also looks like he missed most of camp as well. Fitz has also missed him a bunch the times he was open.
It's still early in the season he'll get caught up eventually....

Probably Cimini talking shit trying to stir up controversy behind the scenes welllll.... as an NFL receiver, you can't expect the ball to be thrown right into your hands all the time. You gotta go get it and fight for it. Like Marshall. And you also gotta expect that if you're tightly covered, the ball will be thrown away from you to avoind an INT. (But not behind you, like one of Fitz's throws)
