Is "pursing" the latest thing I have to go to the Urban Dictionary to figure out what the hell is going on?

With a year under his belt watching, and learning from the sidelines, what's the chance Petty will be able to step up? He seems intelligent, and well grounded from when I've seen him speak. Additionally, he is big/strong kid who looks like he wouldn't be easy to bring down with the pocket collapsing. When he played during the preseason, I realize it was against the 2nd and 3rd stringers, but felt he handled himself well on the field, and certainly did not embarrass himself.

When was the last time a puerto rican Jew had sustained success in the NFL, at the QB position no less?
Oh I remember...not EVER!

Not too sure about acquiring turnover prone Kap....but it would be nice to trade for a real vet QB and chase a ring next season...the rest of the team is set to do so, and while Fitz has filled in nicely, he's the weak link of the team....

Wouldn't be against a guy like Brees at all. Yeah, he may only have 2-3 years left as a Top 10-15 QB, but I don't buy the stuff about him not wanting to come to NY just because it's cold and the Jets play outside. You're telling me that Brees wouldn't be in favor of throwing to Marshall, Decker, Smith, etc with Ivory in the backfield and this defense backing him up for the twilight of his career? If the Saints would do it for a conditional 2nd round pick, I'd do it in a heartbeat. I mean, next year is really the time to get aggressive about a QB unless you want to essentially waste veteran guys like Revis, Marshall, Harris, Brick, Mangold, etc.

Kap would take too much cap while providing the same things Geno would provide. Don't want Big Mac getting fooled to trading for the "big name" just because.
One guy I was hoping we'd look to get this past offseason but looks unlikely now for next offseason was Cam Newton. He's killing so far this season. Would be perfect here in NY.

Even if at 37/38 he's a glorified game manager he's is 10x better then fitz and with the pieces we'd have on O we would be an instant contender....
