2015: Fitz, Geno, Petty 2016: Fitz, Petty, Geno 2017: Petty, Fitz, rookie seriously?, I'd rather do this.... 2015: Fitz, Geno, Petty 2016: Fitz, Petty, Geno 2017: Petty, Fitz, rookie That's not ideal nor what I'd necessarily want, but it's what we're likely to have. I don't think we'll be in position to draft an elite QB (need to be in the Top 5 to do that). It's doubtful we break the bank on a FA and besides, elite FA quarterbacks aren't just floating around. Carson Palmer and Drew Brees are probably the best of the past decade. If the argument is to draft a "project" type QB in something like Rounds 2 to 5, then guess what....we already got two of those guys named Geno Smith and Bryce Petty. So again, my prediction is the above. I'd surely want something better but again, we have no idea yet how good or bad Bryce Petty can be in the NFL. It's important to note that Petty is the current regime's "guy." Maccagnan moved up in the Draft for him. The Jets are likely building around the idea that he will get a shot to compete for the job in 2016 and/or 2017, and will have a fallback plan of using the NFL's current 17th ranked QB, Ryan Fitzpatrick, if Petty doesn't cut it.

In what ranking? In QB rating he is 20th, yds/game 27th, and completion% 24th. I would note that your brainy short passing game QB throwing to Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker is supposed to have a completion percentage around (preferably above) 65%. Fits is at 59.7%. If this guy is the answer is 2016, we're asking the wrong question. espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/player/_/stat/passing/sort/quarterbackRating

At this point, I'd rather see Smith or Petty out there to see if either can become something.

Regardless of how they "act" it's not going to make any difference in what the fo or cs does. You're "acting " like it has some influence

Only a complete fucking moron would need to see more of Geno Smith and thank God Bowles isn't in that group. And only a complete fucking idiot would even think of removing pettys ass from that bench, it worked so well for sanchez and smith who was a moron from the get go and was never going to amount to shit because he lacks a fucking brain and has serious ego problems and character flaws. What i said the day of drafting that dumb fucking cow. Fitz is the best only option. Nothing is changing this year or next. It's fitz to petty shut the fuck up about it. And if i remember correctly sonny you weren't part of the ACM you were a fucking pennington supporter you got some balls

Save the Rudy stories for the movie theaters. They are fiction. I'd like a QB with some arm talent. Don't get me wrong, I root for Fits to succeed (he's the QB of my team), but I've got eyes and anyone can see that the only passes he throws with any effectiveness are back-shoulder and quick slants. You can not have a successful NFL offense when your QB can not throw all of the passes in the playbook. I want something better. IDK if Smith (I doubt he can - but the proof is in the opportunity to play) or Petty (Mariota and Carr started in the first year after playing in spread O's in college) can do any better, but I'd like to at least see them for an extended stretch.

How do You explain yourself supporting Chad Pennington. And Fitzpatrick sadly is the best player on this team right now. Least of the Problems. And LMAO at younger qbs. Geno had his shotsssssssss its fucking over you wont see him again so get over it. Petty will be handed the reigns when hes ready. Geno is gone 2016 7th Screenshot made with Grabilla

Chad Pennington is the only QB to win the AFC East other than Brady since in forever, and he did it Twice. That's how. Pennington has the second highest completion percentage in NFL HISTORY. That's how. Pennington's QB talents were sufficient to warrant his selection in the first round (18th overall) of the NFL Draft. That's how. Pennington won the NFL comeback player of the year twice. That's how. Pennington is the last player to QB the Jets to a home playoff win. That's how. What's Fits done? His QBR is 85.5. Good for 30th in the NFL. Whose 29??? LOL Geno Smith at 87.9. Check it out for yourself. www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?tabSeq=1&d-447263-n=1&d-447263-o=2&d-447263-p=1&statisticPositionCategory=QUARTERBACK&d-447263-s=PASSING_PASSER_RATINGps. I would point out that before CP's last season with the Jets my take on him was that he was done. I believe my sentiment was something to the effect of "He's the kind of guy I'd like my daughter to marry, but I do not want him QBing my team."
