Fitz will be the QB next year without a doubt. Petty will be the backup. In one of Bowles press conferences he alluded to the fact that Fitz would be here beyond this year. We could definitely do worse that's for sure.

We could definitely do worse that's for sure. What teams have a worse (or about the same) QB situation than the Jets? Texans Browns Redskins Rams Forty Niners Bills Chiefs Broncos So that would mean 23 teams have a better QB situation than the Jets. It is simply unacceptable to be "trailing" 23 of the 32 teams in this all-important category.

Bowles went after him always liked him and respected him said that in same press conference

I fail to see the logic behind the "fandom" for Fits. He's a nice enough guy, but he is not very good. He only "looks" good in comparison to what we've seen at the position in the past 7 years or so. If you threw every QB in the NFL in an open draft, when would Fits be taken? 23d or 25th?? That is not good. He can keep the seat warm for now, but if he's the QB next year, he's not going to be any better. And that is very, very depressing.

there's some truth to it but it's from usa today. consider the source. and wouldn't want rogers, or roethlisberger, or eli, or even flacco over what the jets have. i don't think anyone says fitz has such great ability but it's also not entirely his fault that they are where they are. at least 2 of the losses were very winnable and third win could've been had too. if anything it can be viewed as one of those how is it possible for this team to have the record they have?

Fair point. Have there been any successful dweeb looking QBs? well there is carrot top only player in league who's haircolor exactly matches his teams helmet. Dude has orange hair! Take that helmet off Dalton! hahaha

making comments about him being a career back-up isn't helping?? so I should stick my head in the sand and make believe he's a legitimate starting QB that will be under center for the NY Jets in 2016??
and now you're going to compare him to Rich Gannon (Super Bowl QB), Vinny Testeverde (1st pick of the draft) and Kurt Warner (near HOF QB) This is the 11th year for Fitzpatrick- is he going to get the Jets deep into the playoffs as the above guys did with their team anytime soon??
