Sort of been debating with myself why I'm so upset at 5-4 and can't seem to get over this loss.
I think it's because this team has a way of letting you down like no other, I feel like I've literally had my heart ripped out twice with NE and Thursdays game.
I hate this team for lettin Rex come back and put one on us in our house, and I hate this team for doin this to the fans time after time.

I was willing to give Bowles the benefit of the doubt and still continue to do so but I'm starting to get that uneasy feeling in my gut.

I feel the same way..haven't been this affected by a Jets loss in a long time..can't quite put my finger on it.. Never usually reel after a defeat like this, give it a few days and it's behind me and I'm into the next opponent. Everyone knows I hate Rex, to see him jumpin around with that goofy smug look on his face is killin me, and I hate the players for lettin it happen. I'm still high on Bowles, he inherited a 4-12 team, Rex inherited a 9-7 team, 34 of our players are Rex holdovers so he and Mac can't change a culture over night. He trusted his offense to win the game and they let him down, this loss is on the players not the coaches.

No rocket science involved here...we're all just sick of the Jets losing in "statement games," as they've done through all of our lives as fans of this shit team. Every time it's the type of game where the Jets can really put their foot forward, or undo some demons of the past, or any situation in where a win is magnified, that's when they come up lame.
What happened the two times Rex played Baltimore as coach of the NYJ? Absolute embarrassments. What happens when Rex comes back to play the Jets? He embarrasses them. What's the constant? The Jets are always the team that's embarrassed. They can't just lose games like some teams, they have to buttfumble or fake spike or Blair Thomas or sideline timeout or Eric Decker I-can't-catch-a-five-yard-button-hook their way to a humiliating loss.
Bowles is a good coach. I'm still convinced of that, based on what I've seen as far as gameplans, mid-stream adjustments, and overall competitiveness. Maybe he's the guy that can turn this around.
If not, he'll go on to be a good coach in this league once he sheds the stink that has shrouded this team ever since that fucker Joe Namath sold the soul of the franchise to the devil just to back up his guarantee.

I think Jets fans wanted to beat Rex more than he wanted to beat the Jets

Same.
I think it's because I give the Bills 0% credit for the win. WE fucked it up and handed the game to them.
Decker's big 3rd down drop. Marshall's drop. Smith fumble Ivory fumble Fitz forced pick. Fitz/Gailey's awful playcalling in crucial spots. Fitz lofting the ball towards the corner EZ hoping that an awful TE sees it/catches it/keeps feet in IN A CRUCIAL 4TH DOWN FUCKING PLAY.
FUCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK.

This is exactly it. We never get the big "fuck you" win. The last one was 2010 divisional playoff at New England. Since then we've come up small in pretty much every "big" game. This one hurts more because Buffalo really isn't that great and we still couldn't come through. Frustrating.

I've just chalked up to an SOJ moment in which it doesn't matter who the HC or the players are, you know we're good for those at least 2-3 times a season. That and we are banged up all over the place....I'm not giving that fucking blowhard much respect for the W. He surely didn't deserve it.

I also blame big mouth gobshite Rex DISCIPLE Sheldon Richardson, not that he's done anything but it makes me feel better to give him some shit.
The team was motoring until he came back and we started playing 4 man fronts to accommodate him.

I think we miss Pryor a lot more then people are willing to or want to admit...
Sounds crazy yes I know, but he was starting to turn into an enforcer on the back end. We've been getting gashed in the passing game ever since

Watchin Rex celebrate like his team played well and earned it was most frustrating, fuckin 12 point gift and blew it at the end handing the victory to him.
He should've thanked the 34 losers he assembled on our roster for the win, not his team the pathetic excuse for a coach.

I've been numb to all feeling since the game. I loved the jerseys man those jerseys got better as the game went on.
