Some wise-ass has already changed Coples' wiki page to a blue, red and white scheme and listed his current team as the Bills.
Does Rex know how to edit on wiki?

Bowles comments on Coples release from NYJets.com: www.newyorkjets.com/news/article-randylangefb/NotesQuotes-Bowles-on-Coples-Release/a0499e64-9494-49e5-9c09-18bf7efb9832Todd Bowles said the waiving of linebacker Quinton Coples, the 16th overall pick of the 2012 NFL Draft, was based on the numbers game that football sometimes is.
Coples, the Jets head coach told reporters on a conference call this afternoon, "just wasn't playing. I was trying to get a spot [for him] earlier and we didn't have a spot. We weren't playing him, he hasn't been getting any time. It's just a business move. It was nothing personal."
Specifically, Bowles said there were no issues between Coples and him or any other coaches that led to the release: "Absolutely not."
He also said there was no message to the team wrapped up in a transaction involving a former No. 1 pick after the Jets lost for the fourth time in five games to the Texans in Houston on Sunday. "We're not trying to send a message," he said. "We're just trying to play good football players and we're trying to play guys that want to play and are ready to play. And obviously along the way, whether we're winning or losing, we still have to make business decisions, and that was just one of them."
Bowles said it was not a case of Coples not being ready to play as much as him being involved in the business decision. The coach wouldn't discuss an imminent course of action but he did confirm that he and general manager Mike Maccagnan "have something in mind" regarding the roster spot that's now opened. "I'm not going to divulge that at this time," he said, "but we do have something that we're looking at."

The "something in mind" is the most interesting part of this. ^

Guy was a bum and to those who feel this was simply a case of a player out of position, get a clue. The guy had all the look of a player, but either his motor sucks or his brain does, because he played like he was in cement. Additionally, Bowles confirmed the utter suckage of Geno by declaring Fitz (who shit the bed yesterday) the starter going forward. For the trifecta, Stephen Hill got suspended for a year for substance abuse. Who didn't see that coming?

Now if Demario Davis gets benched we're onto something here... i thought davis had a decent game yesterday. i do know he's been missing tackles. you can't cut everyone. did coples even play tesyerday? i didn't think so. maybe he refused to do specials. i saw skrine on punt coverage. imo this is a good move. coples was highly touted and he's done very little. ha had maybe 10 plays in his whole career that were well above average. and it's not like they weren't trying to find a spot for him. good riddance. maybe carolina will take a chance. can't say i know who may be next. both milliner and mcdougal need to see some game time before a verdict can be made. will sheldon get traded? he'd be some good trade bait and his off season antics can only be tolerated so many times. but that means wilk needs re-signing.

All-Pro on a 4-3 defense next year, book it. the jets play quite a bit 4 down linemen now and he couldn't break in.

Guy was a bum and to those who feel this was simply a case of a player out of position, get a clue. Now we will finally find out. I'm sure that whatever team picks him up will not have him playing at OLB and on occasion CB.

He was a 43 DT. A small one. Dont want to take him off the hook but Rex ruined any chance with him with the move to OLB. Maybe he never would have made it anyway bc his motor was absolute shit.
The enema continues. Just hope none of the new pieces need to get included.

lolz might as well cross off Davis and Allen too Essentially their entire 2012 draft was a bust. Nice work fellas. Pretty much everyone of our drafts since 2008 has been a complete bust outside of couple good picks. They've all been disasters.
