I've had some thoughts on the players: How bad of a TE is Cumberland in that he gets no snaps in favor of Kellen Davis .... who might be a great guy and a hard worker, but pretty much blows? Also, high round draft picks Millner and McDougle can't move up the depth chart ahead of guys like Williams and Walls. Sad. We all thought Kerley was great but whatever he is doing in practice certainly isn't enough to get him meaningful snaps in a game. PErhaps he refuses to block? Not sure what it is, but ti seems he is not a "Bowles guy". Has anyone noticed the drop-off in D play since Coples was cut?.... yeah, me neither. How many snaps is Shel getting at LB? I know the staff wants to get Williams in the game, but Shel was a difference maker last season and I rarely see him make any kind of impact plays. Pryor certainly is starting to look like the lynchpin of the D. SS like him do not grow on trees. It's nice to see the staff using him in ways the makes the entire D better. It's like having an extra LB out there, but unlike the other LBs on the Jets, he can run. Is there a team with a slower LB corps than the Jets? I break out in cold sweats when I think of any of them trying to cover a RB on a pass pattern. I'd run 5 wheels a game against them. Cumberland should be long gone after this season. And I really think Amaro would flourish in this offense. He was getting better at blocking, so he would have played the role Enunwa is in, but much better pass catching threat. I also think Kerley just moved down the line with Decker now playing a ton in the slot. And Smith just adding more speed then Kerley can, so he goes above him. The biggest surprise to me is Milliner. It's not as if he sucked when he did play in the past. Just always injured. Maybe Bowles is more comfortable with guys that were there in training camp and really understand the defense. Last thing he wants is a DB that's confused about where to be. One miscommunication can cause a huge play. So who knows.

I wish I had been there, seeing #15 racing down the sideline gave me Coles chills. BTW, that play is much better than a one handed acrobatic catch. NMS gets a new highlight. The "old Jets" would have either: 1. Called timeout 2. Not seen Marshall and run a draw play to the RB for 2 yards 3. Gotten so excited and thrown the ball over his head into the 3rd row of the stands.

Milliner was hot garbage for pretty much all of his rookie season, except for the final few games where he played decent and had a few balls thrown right to him that he just happened to pick. Hasn't really played since.

Do it against a good football team pretty much week in week out and we are in business. Good work though, Crushed Pineapple. um...it was the Titans boys (and ma'am)...let's wait until Dec 27th and see what happens. I really don't understand this and personally think it's bogus. These "good" teams you guys speak of beat the same "shit" teams.... so who is even actually good at this point?!

Those plays are usually against us. I'd like to add another observation, and I'm going to be VERY gay: This is a team I'm starting to root for (beyond just being my team). I like this team. They genuinely seem to like each other and care. There's always a guy to help a dude up, a tap on the helmet...dunno. When Fitz missed Smith in the EZ he went straight to him to say "my bad". Ivory gets bowled over in the Jets sideline and defensive players are there to pick him up. Guys are talking and smiling...still waiting for the other shoe to drop.. They're resiliant. Even a dude like Skrine, yeah he gets beat but he's a scrappy dude, always fighting. Fucking Jets have me believing again. FML And you know where that gets us.................

The core good teams win year in year out for the most part and there aren't many of the usual suspects around this year. The Jets and Pats pretty much played the same teams and they took care of business. The Jets have been flying by the seat of there pants with Fitz and are a very average team, not D, as a whole. The Jets are benefitting from a year of parody in the league as are the good teams. Point being the good teams win no matter how the league is performing. Do you thing the Panthers are undefeated because they are so great or because of the poor level of competition. I'm glad tix didn't go in the garbage this year, but, I am waiting for that 1 ticket that matters.`

Who else do they have to beat to prove they've earned being undefeated?

I break out in cold sweats when I think of any of them trying to cover a RB on a pass pattern. I'd run 5 wheels a game against them. with regard to miliner, imo the achilles is the worst injury to come back from so it was doubtful he would be much farther than he is at this point in the season even if he didn't get injured (again) in camp. same for mcdougal although in his case he had zero game day experience before getting injured and so there's no telling how well he should be playing. after all he was a thrid rounder. some expectations but not quite as high as milliner. pryor is really doing well and he was missed when he was out. shel? maybe bowles doesn't like his work ethic and is trying to get him to turn a page. the whole pot incident followed by the street racer incident can't have made a real good first impression. as for the lb's, no one can fault the way harris plays and at the very least mauldin and reilly are playing with good enthusiasm.
