I've taken something before all four of my kids were born. Nothing heavy, just a half a Valium to take the edge off. I plan on bringing my lightsaber when I see the movie tomorrow night. |

Im working on adding some star wars shit to the boards appearance. How bout that shit. Get a couple fucking AT AT walkers up there in the banner. Maybe solo and jaba dont know if i have enough time

Agreed. But I have a sneaking suspicion that this movie is going to suck. I'm more of a Star Trek guy anyway. Unfortunately, it looks like the next installment is going to suck even more.  " style="max-width:100%;"] It's actually getting great reviews. I think the series is excellent and I like Star Wars, I just can't stomach the massive, ginormous, in-your-face marketing around this movie. I've been looking forward to the movie, the constant Star Wars everywhere messaging is killing that excitement. Again, the good news seems to be that they didn't fuck this up the way they did Episode I with Jar Jar and shit. Letting JJ Abrams do this movie was a risk but it seems to have paid off. Some initial reaction from the premiere.... |

I got home from a midnight screening and the first thing I did was pre-order more tickets. Going again tomorrow night (with friends who couldn't go tonight) and again on Sunday morning (family).
This movie was carefully crafted, from start to finish, for people who loved the original trilogy. You can call it fanservice, but I think that demeans the work that was put into this film. Especially when 95% of the callbacks are so well executed.
I think the first hour-plus is legitimately GREAT, the rest oscillates between varying degrees of good. It blows away all of the shitty prequels. The part I was most worried about was the new characters, but they're all fantastic. The girl that plays Rey is going to blow up, her character is incredible. Finn and Poe are both very good and have an excellent comedic rapport when they're together. The marketing had made me hate BB-8, the new droid, but I loved him in the movie. I'll withhold comment on the new villain, because it's hard to talk about him without spoiling.

Gonna go see when it is most likely to be empty theater. Don't even remotely care how long that takes.
I hate trying to watch a movie with blathering idiots or even worse, those idiots who loudly (fake) laugh at every slight hint of humor.
Makes me wanna accidentally spill mcdonalds coffee on them. Or just duck tape their frikken mouth shut.
