EAD you yellow fuck. Except when it mattered. I'll take this year's Fitz over any dude we've had since....well fuck I can't remember. Vinnie probably....98 Vinnie.. Guy played his heart out, taking nothin away from him. Just can't see us stayin this healthy again or Fitz repeating his success against next years schedule. We are not goin to win 11+ games next year with this guy. If he comes back, Macc better get him a speed back and some vertical burners. As good as our offense was by our standards, it was painfully easy to play for good defenses like Houston and the Bills etc.

That schedule looks fuckin brutal right now. Yeah, but we might have said the same thing about last year's schedule at this time last year. Cowboys and Eagles were expected to contend. Colts were expected to be a lot better than they were. Dolphins were expected to contend for a wild card. I agree that it looks tougher right now than the schedule we just played, but you never know how it will actually play out. Exactly SOS before the season starts means jackshit.

You could do this for 3/4 of the league.

This is all VERY true and VERY heartbreaking. BUT, I would replace the 2011 week 17 (the tie-breakers weren't going there way and they weren't getting in) with the '10 steelers AFC Championship loss. They came out completely flat, sucked most of the game, then made a run that came up short. SOOOO FRUSTRATING. Thought we were going to the SB that year. I hate this team.

You could do this for 3/4 of the league. Yup. Everyone team has had their share of crushing defeats. Some franchises have the huge Championship wins to offset them. We have had our share of good moments, including several this season. Still waiting for our 2nd huge win though....

Definitely SOJ. Golden opportunity right in front of them, and blew it.

You could do this for 3/4 of the league. Perhaps I should have commented instead of just posting the article. I do not really agree with it. I was just posting it to be part of the discussion of whether this Jets teams deserves the SOJ label. As a matter of fact, all of the "disappointments" listed required a fair amount of success to reach that point. I'd much rather be a Jet fan than a Jag, Brown, Lion, or Bill fan. And not too long ago, it looked pretty bleak for the Cards and Seahawks.

And not too long ago, it looked pretty bleak for the Cards and Seahawks. Yeah, better to be a Jets fan than jag, brown or lions fan. That's no solace for me. Those are the biggest loser franchises in the NFL and we are comparing ourselves to them. What is so frustrating to me is that a few bounced balls or a few breaks and we could be up there w/ the Steelers, Packers, Cowboys and 49ers. No joke. We win in '82, '86, '98 and '10 and we have 5 SB rings. It could have went that way. It didn't obviously, but it could have - at least a few times. BUT, the Jets BLOW IT EVERY SINGLE TIME. Every time. They never have not blown it. Fine, 1969, but I wasn't alive then. I'm sick and tired of waiting to next year. Sick and tired of blown chances every single fucking time. We can make as many excuses as we want, but the truth is they fuck up every time they have a golden opportunity. They have not been able to do it for WAY too long. SOJ through and through. Until the time they finally do it. Which, right now, seems about a million miles away.

I can't believe so many thought we would win Sunday, I absolutely knew in my gut they would blow it. Fuckin depressing because they took away all the good.

+1. STupid Limey. And NO. Team exceded all expectations even if they fell painfully short in the last stretch. How refreshing to not hold your breath everytime our QB dropped back to pass. EAD you yellow fuck. Except when it mattered. Wait. Is Duke French or Asian? I'm confused.

I don't think we beat Cincy on the road anyway, we are a garbage road team and always come out flat, good defences like those would've chocked this offense eventually.
