I don't think we beat Cincy on the road anyway, we are a garbage road team and always come out flat, good defences like those would've chocked this offense eventually. You're probably right. This is the only thing that actually makes me feel better about the loss. That it would have just made it hurt more this week with more invested in this rotten tease of a team. I swear it's easier when they have the 4-12 years than a year like this. Those years I just don't give a crap, watch and laugh and curse their eternal souls while wishing and praying they move to Nome, Alaska. Those years are actually much more easy to deal with than year's like this.

EAD you yellow fuck. Except when it mattered. Wait. Is Duke French or Asian? I'm confused. French Asian fusion. Confucian possibly.

Hear me out here.....I'm as gutted as the next man at how this season ended but I'm quite surprised at the level of hate for a team that just went 10-6 where we beat the Pats and Giants with a first year coach and GM. No doubt it was an agonising defeat and massive missed opportunity, but I'm not sure the 15 Jets deserve that label. I've done a lot of thinking/drinking the last 48 hours, I've listened to countless radio shows and read all the articles and I've noticed that Jet fans in the media like Chris Wessling, Dan Hanzus, mike Greenberg etc all put out the SOJ message in frustration. It seems that everytime things don't go our way we use this term to prove ourselves right, kinda like "I told you so", I think it makes us feel better. It's become increasingly apparent that the players are aware of this stigma and i think loser Jet fans mentality filters down to the players, they just don't believe in themselves come crunch time. I'm not judging anyone here because I would put myself in the SOJ mindset, I'm a glass half empty dry type of guy. It just has me wondering whether this years team deserves it, and secondly that fans especially in the media can't wait to jump on the team and use it. The team does not carry a winners mentality, a few players like B-Marsh have it, but the rest seem aware of this label and I think it effects them come crunch time. I guess what I'm saying in a nutshell is that we are born losers both as a team and a fanbase, if we want the team to change it's mentality than shouldn't we? I'm asking because I personally want to change my attitude towards the team. Should we not be giving this team some credit This is SOJ through and through. I've said before that SOJ isn't just the kotite 1-15 or last year's 4-12, it's also the 10-6, 11-5 years that tease and then rip your friggin heart out just when they are on the precipice of ultimate victory. Yes, it's definitely the disaster years of the late 80s, most of the 90s w/ kotite's corpse (until '97), the last few years, etc. But, it's also the horrible letdowns of '82, '85, '86, '98, '04, '09, '10 and then this friggin year. Again, they don't want to be called SOJ, but they are the Same ol' losers. As for it trickling down to the players, F them too. THey want to change it, then F'in win. They are mostly clueless idiots - Sheldon Richardson said in the paper today that "the fans probably felt it was a successful season, but the players wanted to get into the dance." He doesn't know the fans at all if that's what he thinks. STFU sheldon. They get no credit. They had their shot and blew it like always. SICK OF THEM! Exactly. This year's team was the very fucking definition of SOJ. No expectations, rip of a great winning streak, beat the VaGiants and NE*, get a Steelers loss as a gift, and then lose a very winnable game against a mediocre at best opponent, against a major doucher ex-coach, coming out flat (of course, Jets specialty), rally but fall short thanks to the first red zone int from the miracle year QB who had been a journeyman for 10 years. Oh and the cheery on top: miss a last minute miracle by a cunt hair when Kenbrell Thompkins can't catch the ball with no one to beat down the sidelines. Fucking definition of SOJ.

You could do this for 3/4 of the league. And not too long ago, it looked pretty bleak for the Cards and Seahawks. That's what we have to focus on: the FO pieces are finally in place to correct past mistakes, and we're on the right track.

Ya'll should relish this season because the next two aren't going to be pretty. And heaven help us if Petty or the guy we draft next isn't our qb savior.
I'm too old for this shit.

10-6 sounds like a successful season, but with the way the schedule played out, a successful season should have been 13-3 (2 losses to Pats and split with Bills). Never should have lost to the Eagles, Raiders and Texans -- with a QB off the street.

SOJ for sure. Yes, we got more than we bargained for with the re-birth of Fitz and the Marshall-Decker tandem...(the set-up, oh that glorious, creeping set-up)..to win at home against the Pats...then lay a FVCKING EGG against FVCKING BUFFALO....TWICE...with the second one the key to our WHOLE SEASON...while we were still delerious from last weeks victory...(the set-up..oh that glorious, insideous set-up)...Even Francessa on his Sunday Morning show had us taking the AFC title...
SOJ, signed, sealed, delivered.... and FVCKING FRAMED.

SOJ.
After all these years how can you deny it?
You guys are in denial.
Just embrace it.
The GM and HC dont matter. We would lose with Lombardi. Heck, we would lose with Lombardi as our coach and Montana as our QB and Gil, Ron and Ozzie picking our players.
