It says that he underachieved with a more talented team than the Jets and knows that to beat and inaccurate QB with a weak arm you play a zone with one deep man and wait for the picks to happen. I don't believe Buffalo was more talented on paper than the Jets. Not at all. I don't believe you are correct. Not at all.

You guys need to put down the Koolaid. Yea he should be fired but this is a day late and a dollar short. We kept running the same people out there all year on STs. And yes, we could have goten beter production from guys of the street. Anthing is better than what we has. We also need to bring in a time management consultant and one of those football research guys like Belidick has. Too many times this year we failed to make proper adjustments. We need someone with the birdseye view on gamedays to let Bowles know the reality of what is going on. Ernie Adams? Yes. He isnt just a spy. He is a real-time consultant.

Yes. He isnt just a spy. He is a real-time consultant. What he is, is BB's high school friend who happens to be a genius. He is renown for his ability to memorize an entirely new playbook in 2 days, and leaving his job as a pro football scout to trade municipal bonds on Wall Street and then starting his own Wall Street Investment Firm. IMHO, BB is not nearly as great a coach without Adams, who is the man behind every original idea attributed to BB.

QB - Even WR - Buffalo (our Top 2 may be better but they have depth) TE - Buffalo OL - Buffalo RB - Buffalo DL - Even LB - Buffalo DB - Even ST - Buffalo Everything we have they have and they are younger.

Agreed. IMO Bowles finished 2d with the 4th most overall talent in the division.

And yet this same Rex beat the shitty ass Jets twice this year. So what does that say about the Jets ? It says that turnovers costs you games.

The worst part was that Quigley's first two punts in the game were really good....but I just knew that third one out of the end zone was going to be a disaster. so terribly true. After the first good one, I said "well, we already used up all of Quigley's competence on the first kick."

I remember Armstrong from Hard Knocks....that dude is NO JOKE! He will slice you up if you're not doing what he asks of you out there....
Not sure how ATL's STs are performing, but just his attitude alone might be an upgrade....

Yea he should be fired but this is a day late and a dollar short. Ummmmm....it's been one season. You wanted him to get fired in the middle of the season? That doesn't happen often you know....

Just looked it up. 2012 -- Mcknight had a KR touchdown against Houston and Kerley a PR against Buff. 3 straight seasons with 0 return TDs. fucking pathetic. We probably could have had 13 wins with decent special teams this year. How soon til we can cut Quigley? I won't really feel better til hes gone With these firings, I'm sure his sphincter just got a bit tighter.

Firing the coach in-season is pretty rough but I wanted them to make some changes during the season. Cut some guys, play some starters. I dont feel like there was a strong message sent during the season that our STs needed to improve. Could that have happened behind closed doors? Sure, but I dont think it did. We didnt get any results so I think we should have shook things up and if we did it would have been more visible.

Bowles is the HC but ultimately it was up to April to shake things up on that unit....bench someone, change up coverage schemes, etc. We know he didn't, and now he's gone. I can live with that.

Article is mostly speculation -- it does mention that Armstrong's contract is believed to be expiring according to Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

If we can't lure Westy back then I guess Armstrong is the next best thing. I liked what I saw from him on Hard Knocks. Ultimately he is still going to need some talent to work with. Hopefully Mac can find some players in the later rounds that can step up on STs.
