Can you do us a favour and give us a real time look at where we're at going into FA. No more speculative resignings and shit. Exact numbers if possible.
I want to track how it's spent, given that we're not likely going to resign Harrison and the present situation wish Daddy Warbucks Fitzgerald

Based on what I have seen this AM -- we are at $6.7MM in cap space before any other pending moves. Dead last in the league for now.

Either Wilk or Richardson is gone in the next year or so. I'd keep Snacks and ride Leo's rookie $. Also, could this team conceivably go into 2016 with Geno, Petty and another rookie?

Yes they could, but it really depends on who else is actually thinking about hiring Fitz... SF? LA?... there's no one else. But anyway.... i disagree about Snacks. He's most expendable on that list. We were #1 against the run... is the loss of one man (a 2-down man) going send us down to #32 vs the run?? We can totally afford to let him walk. I'll take being #5 versus the run and signing an OLB so we're not #32 vs the pass, over paying top dollar for a run stuffing nose tackle. You spend money $$$ on positions you need help at, not positions were you rank #1 IMO. We presently have no RBs on the roster, a QB who got clipped on the chin as in camp, no OLBs, and no TEs... so no, Snacks can go get his on some team that couldn't stop nosebleed.

I'm not in disagreement but replacing Snacks will cost $$ as well. Run-stuffing 3-4 NTs don't grow on trees (luckily for the trees!). Suggestions for plugging that hole (pun intended)? Elevating someone on the roster, getting a lower tier FA, drafting a rookie? I think we'll miss Snacks more than we think we will if he walks.

Why's everyone counting Amaro and Enunwa out? TE's are the least of our worries. Try the OL.

I really don't think we will miss him. 2 things, it's not 1995 -- stopping the run isn't what it used to be. It's important yes, but you don't need to be #1 in that department. We were #1 and it didn't do us any good against good QBs. Secondly, they do grow on trees, compared to pass rushers. How many premium Pass Rushers are going to be Free Agents this year? Answer; zero. How many premium run stuffers will be Free Agents this year? many -- including apparently the best. Theres also, Knighton, Rhubin, and others. It's a hole easily filled with a fat hog (pun!) There's just no way IMO we can justify spending money on our Dline after spending our entire estate drafting lineman.

Hmmm definitely an interesting notion and makes drafting Leo fucking genius... But maybe trade both Sheldon and Mo for offensive players. That's what I would do BC those assholes haven't done shit for us in the end. Teams still ran on third downs, they still stopped them like their feet were stuck in cement on "need it" passing downs.

If the jets did rework brick or whathave you - how long till that news is dispensed to us? maybe they're keeping all their moves a secret so other teams don't know what cap room they have, so they can make quick moves tomorrow.?!

Update on our cap space (as of 5/1 per Spotrac):
Active Contracts: $158,691,950 Top 51 Contracts: $146,841,950 Dead Cap: $7,382,734 Total (All): $166,074,684 Total (Top 51+Pool):$159,594,293 Total (Top 51):$154,224,684 Est. Cap Space (All):$-8,545,950 Est. Cap Space (Top 51+Pool):$-2,065,559 Est. Cap Space (Top 51):$3,304,050
As of today, before signing the draft class, we have $3.3 million space. Draft pool is ~$5.3 mil. We do not have money to sign our draft class, nor do we have $$ to sign a QB. Some moves will need to be made over the next few weeks.
We could restructure a vet -- Decker, Marshall &/or Mangold could be candidates. Sign Mo to a long-term deal to reduce his cap hit in 2016, or trade is still possible, though less likely after the draft. Not many players are candidates for release that would save significant $$. Breno would be most likely, but it does not appear we have a replacement for him on the roster unless the CS really likes Qvale and thinks he is ready.
Any other moves that might make sense?

That was one expensive honeymoon for Mac and Bowles.
We are in a very tough spot. We cant really throw away a season bc we are a veteran team. Our roster is going to have a lot of turnover the next couple of years. Just gotta hope the draft picks pan out. A 5 year playoff drought can turn into a 10 year one very quickly.
