I wood like the idea of Casserly being named team president and installed as Idzik's boss with Idzik running the day to day operations but Casserly making all of the major decisions. BTW, if Casserly is hired to do anything, I would hope he would finally get Bradway fired or, at the very least, tell Bradway that if ever leaks to a reporter that he really, really wanted the Jets to draft a player (who happens to be good now), he will be dropped from the goodyear blimp and impaled on the the goalpost upright at Metlife. This is Casserly, not Lou Lamoriello. Interesting visual, though.

And f all of you for the avatar.
(it is pretty f'ing funny though!) We made that the sign up avatar default in case people didn't want to get their own avatar. Fish drew that image and is very proud of it Yeah, it beats the ET character.

IMO Shefter has gone the route of Manish and Dick Cimini Seems like he's now trolling rather than reporting It's the ESPNEP way Schefter is usually right 99% of the time and is the only guy besides Glazer that I fully trust in breaking these stories. Yep, no one more in tune with real breaking NFL news. Glazer used to be the guy but Shefter has replaced him IMO.
Neither to be confused with Incarcerated Bob (Manish Mehta).

Can't say I know anything about him But he sure as hell seems qualified From reading his bio's from his time in Washington and Houston he has a strong talent evaluation background, this re-ignites my fire a bit, we need football people in this bitch.

He is definitely an under the radar guy, more scout than front office type. Obviously has a connection with Casserly so that all makes some sense.

Forgot to mention. Bradway is probably going nowhere. Casserly likes him. I have heard him refer to Bradway as one of the best scouts in the league. L0L. He's probably right

Seem to remember his name mentioned 2 years ago along with Eric DeCosta and that both made themselves unavailable prior to the search that ended in Idzik getting e job.

No complaints from me here, we want football people in the building so we are consulting a football person. Far better than using a corporate company to hire bean counting executives. Woody seems to be listening. You know that term 'quick study'? Woody needs 'slow study' coined for him.

Belidick doesn't fire off too many candid responses, which made it stunning almost five years ago (January 2010) when he ripped Casserly for reporting on CBS that Tom Brady was playing with three broken ribs.
"Who's been wrong more than Charley Casserly since he left the Redskins? His percentage is like a meteorologist," Belidick said during his weekly spot on WEEI radio. "He has no relationship to this team. I'd say less than zero. Based on what? He's never at a practice, never at a game. ... At least he put his name on it, which is more than a lot of guys. But, like he usually is, he was 100 percent wrong."

MacCagnan and Bowles both have ties with Casserly, I believe. Not sure if they have any connection directly other than working in the same organization, but Casserly speaks very highly of Bowles. Based off nothing but pointless conjecture on an unverified rumor, I'd say that's your front running pair for new GM/Coach

If Casserly is hired, Bobby Grier, the current Senior Personnel Advisor of the Texans, could be a potential option for GM if Idzik is fired.
He's been an executive in the NFL since '82 and has been with the Texans since 2000. Before that, he was with the Patriots and was the only executive to contact Lloyd Carr about Brady.

This would be the best move Woody has made in the 15 years he's owned the Jets if this turned out to be true. Casserly would know exactly what to do to get the right people leading this organization.
