my Texans friend tells me that Casserly was neutered by Reeves. the Mario Williams pick was made by Kubiak. Casserly was a lame duck. What in the hell would this friend of yours know... It's a Texans fan. From Houston? I don't care what some inbred and his homohork hork wherg wherg whergual buddy think. Yeah, what does Texas know about football. New Jersey is where its at.

Exactly the type of move I was expecting him to go for. Now if he can just move aside Glat and Akselrad who seem like they're worth their weight in lead. I wonder if he considered other people and chose Casserly though, like Polian, Parcells, etc. Also if this gets Casserly off the TV would be an extra added bonus I think Woody had talks with Polian after Tanny was fired. I thought he hosteed Bill Polian at TC? I thought it was a message to Idzik? It was pretty "brow-raising" stuff; yet nothing came of it (surprise).

IMO Shefter has gone the route of Manish and Dick Cimini Seems like he's now trolling rather than reporting It's the ESPNEP way They put that ESPN special sauce in Shefter's yak. I now listen with one ear to Shefter (and head to twitter if newsworthy). Mort makes me hate getting old. He should punch shef and the host square in the mouth say "BOOYAH"; straighten his tie and say "Ladies - you're giving me NOTHING. GIVE ME SOMETHING." <fade out>

He inspires the team and most importantly I like the fucking guy. I feel ya. I am holding out hope that he may stay as Assistant Coach/Head Defense Coach. Just keep him away from all the regular HC stuff and the Offense. And under NO CIRCUMSTANCES allowed to call a TO.

He inspires the team and most importantly I like the fucking guy. Who cares if he's likable? Jim Harbaugh is a fucking maniac and Homeless Hoodie is a mumbling, boring prick...but I'd still take either one coaching my team any day of the week. If Rex showed one ounce of being able to adapt to the modern day NFL, then we probably wouldn't even be having the discussion of getting rid of him. The guy is married to his old ways, period. Look at how Homeless Hoodie has adapted to losing guys like Seymour, Bruschi, Harrison, McGinest, Vrabel, etc over the years. He completely changed his defensive philosophy and transitioned to a 4-3 to better fit his personnel. Meanwhile Rex shows no ability to adapt and his entire defense crumbles just because he doesn't have a pair of lockdown CB's on the outside. Forget the 5 or 6 former 1st round picks up front.

You discredit Rex too much, if he was so out of touch he'd be a shitty Defensive coach. He does a pretty damn good job against good QBs don't care what you say. Any team without Corners is gonna suck. Why you think NE was in such a fucking panic after Talib walked?! Idzik would have saved his job and pulled off the most epic #1 trade in the history of probably all of pro sports had he just signed Revis, who wanted to come here anyways. If nothing but to keep him away from NE. But we wouldn't have such a good draft pick... real pickle. I guarantee you NE wouldn't have the #1 seed tho.

Yeah, he does a good job against great QB's...and then always seems to allow mediocre ones like Kyle Orton to eat his ass alive for some reason. I'm not denying that Rex is a quality defensive mind, but he's certainly overrated in that department. He hasn't put a Top 5 defense on the field since 2011 despite us constantly devoting 1st round picks to that side of the ball, which Rex surely played a hand in. And then when you factor in his primitive mindset when it comes to the offense, his constant clock management fuck ups, and constantly having this team come out totally flat and unprepared after a bye week or a big win...then what good is he really? We're really trying to hold on to Rex because he's a likable guy? Are we really still clinging to those two AFC Championship games like shit to velcro? It's time for the guy to go, period.

But would you rather have Rex or fucking Josh McDaniels fruity ass.

I'd take Rex over Norv Turner as well, still doesn't mean I want his ass retained if given the choice. You go after a young, innovative coach who actually has football roots grounded in the 21st century. Same reason that I want nothing to do with guys like Gruden or Cowher who haven't roamed an NFL sideline for the better part of a decade.

Because he'd love nothing more than to run with storylines of how the Jets are trying to copy the Pats**, "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em", etc. If we're going with an offensive minded HC, then guys like Adam Gase, Hue Jackson and Bill Lazor would be on my short list. If we go the defensive route, then I'd want someone like Todd Bowels or Dan Quinn.

And it def wasn't mannish I seen that from but a poster here in this board. They probably heard it from him but with the Belichoke Sparklepony worship I'm sure someone comes up with it on their own every so often.
