So much easier said than done. Precisely. Good men and women are going to have to make choices that disgust them to their cores....or perish. The time for indecision and hand-wringing is quickly coming to an end. I wish it were not so. but someone might think/say that you are a racist! Better to stand by and be thought to be "cool" while more innocents die.

Can I just ask, what gives you the impression nothin is bein done? And what is America doin so different when it also suffers from the same random opportunistic attacks. Trump is gaining popularity due to his response to your in house muslim problem no?? I didn't say I have the impression nothing is being done. I said that I thought Apache was implying that he would prefer to do nothing since he said it is "easier said than done". I said what we are doing isn't working, at least not well enough. When we have our referendum in the summer I will be voting OUT of the European Union.

Trump is gaining popularity bc people are sick of us bending over backwards for the sake of peoples feelings meanwhile they have a gun pointed at us. Lets be honest. If these were Irish Catholics carrying out these attacks nobody would bat an eye if we stopped the flow.

I’m curious what it is we should be doing which we’re not. Even if you seal off the borders to refugees you still have a problem with inbred radicalism through the ghettos and prisons. Like Turk said earlier, I’m not even sure that ends the problem. What would America do if Mexicans (or of mexican descent) were muslim? Seal off the borders OK, but you still have millions on your soil, some productive legal citizens, others are trying to get by, and others are just not fitting in for various reasons. What do you do? The odds are all in their favor. You can stop 99% of these random attacks and still lose because they have to succeed only once. If a pipe breaks in your basement do you turn off the water or just let it run because you already have 3 inches of water in the basement already? You turn it off and start cleaning up. Close the borders for a while. do investigations into the ones you already suspect. Recruit from within getting the good Muslims who are supposedly the majority to step up and help you clean house. Educate people that blowing shit up isn't the right way to go about things. Etc. At that point institute a thorough vetting of all immigrants. At the very least you will slow the tide. I agree. The EU has been squabbling over a "nofly" shared database for years, where anyone flagged for suspicion of terrorism in one country, can't board a plane anywhere in the EU. As crazy as it sounds, it doesn't exist. There's little coordination across European Intelligence agencies. The border question is tricky because technically within the EU, you can't close your own borders, it's part of the program: free trade and free circulation of it's citizens. I pray it's being seriously discussed, but I doubt it. We've been in a State of Emergency since the attacks which gives basically full executive power to the president and broadens police rights to search and arrest almost at will...and people are already complaining. I don't have the answer but as you say, it'll take a lot of separate actions.

Dukey...the problem is..we're civilized, evolved people applying civilized, evolved thinking towards a suicidal, hateful, insular, primitive culture. The solution is there, though our very nature rejects it on the surface. They have declared the rules, us against them, whether we like it or not. No amount of deferential, liberal thought will placate or soften their views. We over-think it because we are good people and the truth is abhorrent to us. They, and their silent, sullen, non-assimilating co-conspirators (yes, thats what they are) are nothing less than a malignant cancer... You wonder why a loon like Donald Trump can gain traction in this country? Look no further than whats happening to Europe, where good people are standing idly by while evil operates amongst them, unchallenged until after the bomb goes off... We all know what we must do...we hate ourselves for knowing it, it scares us to death, sickens us...but its us or them. Its that simple. I know you saw the horror up front and personal, but I'm not on board with lumping everyone together. Our nanny is muslim and I love my kids as much as you love yours. Does that mean I'm a fairy (don't answer that or part of the hand wringing masses? Technically your solution is what for the muslims in our countries today? Not sure I understood.

Which is what the left calls them. This country has been run by men from the Ivy League for the past 15 years. Our courts are littered with them as well. Highly educated.

If there was a referendum in every EU country, I wonder what the result would be. What would your vote be? The only thing stopping me from saying "Out" would be the economy. GB doesn't need the EU for economic growth, neither doesGermany. France would die a slow death IMO without it. I'd be for injecting more power to countries (ie: being able to close your borders if you feel like it).

Cameron has fought hard for EU reform but it's to late, the British people are sick to fuck of Brussels and Merkel puppeteering the rest of Europe and it's time for us to break free and get back to controlling our own destiny. Like you said, we don't need Europe economically, nor do we need them tellin us how straight a banana should be or how we police our borders etc Fuckin Merkel tryin to tell us we should lavish benefits on Eastern European migrants from day one when they have paid fuck all into the system. We fought two world wars beside each other for our freedom from the Germans, now all of Europe has to answer to them as to what we can and can't do. Britain should never have been involved with the union in the first place, it was a partial commitment anyway as we never gave up our currency and we are so different to the rest of Europe it's scary. Fuck Europe.
