Well, we shall see. Mac obviously didn't like Lynch. Hack has been reduced to the worst QB ever. I say he will surprise the naysayers. Time will tell. This thread may be bumped a couple of times more over the next couple of years. I hope you're right but I doubt it. Your boy Cook just shit the bed with a team that went 12-4 and might have gotten the 1st seed if Carr didn't get injured. He's also miles a head of Hack. If Hack farts without shitting himself I'd be surprised.

Secondly, you're gonna judge Cook after being thrust into a pressure packed road game vs the best Defense in the league after only practicing with the starters just this week? Wowy.

agreed. I didn't like lynch that much but if I was a GM and betting my career on a QB I would have taken him over Hack. Well, we shall see. Mac obviously didn't like Lynch. I'm going to judge him off all his college games and taking a well oiled team and shitting the bed. All he had to do was manage the game. The Texans aren't anything special. My mother could complete 18 of 45 passes for 160 yards and 1 TD and 3 INTs. Maybe he develops into something more, but I'm not going to back off my original evaluation.

I'm so glad we passed on Lynch at 20. Not necessarily happy they ended up taking Hack in Round 2, but just glad they didn't take Lynch at 20. Sorry, but i'm gonna have to throw down on this one. You're sooooo glad we passed on Lynch? Why?.... cause he didn't win 4 games at the start of the season like Wentz, before breaking down? You're usually the pillar of being reasonable (ie. like maybe not judging a QB in limited exposure in year 1) and yet you've seen, sorry heard enough out of DEN to convince you that we dodged a bullet... All this in the face of a redshirted Hack? C'mooooooooon brah. gimme a break. Connor Cook looks every bit the guy I thought he was. Goff has well. In fact, the only 2 guys I liked with any fervor are the only 2 guys who won games this year... Yes Lynch won a game. Also, he threw passes that people caught. Having Lynch would have at least allowed us to fill around the position on the roster. You approach the team differently when you have a 1st round QB. Jesus, i can't believe anyone would be talking about lack of confidence in Lynch. DEN was competing for the playoffs all the way up to week 16, and started the guy who'd be groomed for a year. I'll leave it at that, but i think your perception is a poor one. Wait you're busting Hawks balls about judging Lynch with limited exposure in year 1, but yet you knock Cook who was just thrown into a much more impossible situation?

Point taken. To an extent. Difference is though -- the "bonus" on Cook was how pro-ready he was supposed to be. Wasn't gonna rock the combine, but boy oh boy, that pro-system experience was gonna give him a real leg up. Instead, he looked like exactly like the guy who couldn't put Mich State on his back today. It's a unfair assessment, but there's some truth in that texture.

No he's judging off what he saw when they were drafted. And impossible situation? He had a great team around him. He was setup to succeed. Maybe if he was any good he would have gotten 2nd string snaps for half the season, but he couldn't even beat out Matt McGloin. Just like Hack couldn't beat out Petty for 3rd string.

All I really mean is that there are signs or things in Denver that would make me worried as a Broncos fan that the organization might not be as high on him as they were(similar to the Jets with Hack)z Lynch not playing at all in the finale, in my opinion, is not a good sign for him. That doesn't mean he's got no shot, and he has plenty of time to improve, but that's not a good sign.

John Elway who knows a thing or two about QBs liked Lynch. I'll take his recommendation over Macc, the only GM in the league who liked a QB who sounds like throw up/ vomit.

Your mother sounds like a remarkable athlete. Nah she's just able to walk without falling over and tie her shoes unlike Cook and Hack. Also dude you liked your own post.

To each their own. No signs out of Denver point to them thinking Lynch is the answer. agreed. I didn't like lynch that much but if I was a GM and betting my career on a QB I would have taken him over Hack. I honestly dont think he is a much better prospect that Hack. He shot up the draft boards as the draft got closer but the more I looked at him, heard him and saw him all I saw is a kid who is tall, goofy and not bright enough to success at this level. I dont know his gpa or wonderlick score but I gotta tell you, I got the same gut feeling for this kid as I did when I saw sanchez on the morning show the day before the draft in ny when they asked him about the jets drafting him. I could be wrong and in a few years we will see but my guess is he is a cold stone bust and Hack is at least as likely to succeed or to fail as lynch is.
