To give you the short version of the story.
It was a time when hooliganism was rife in the united kingdom.
The government and police saw every soccer fan as a hooligan.
There was a surge of fans arrived at the stadium.
Rather than treat them like humans and open more gates for people to enter the police hurded them into the stadium through one area.
There was a big push as kickoff approached.
The police refusd to open emergency gates and stopped people climbing the fences.
Many people were crushed and died.
The police blamed it on the hooligans. The government backed them and tried to bury the case and they subsequently got away with murder.
Yesterday the current leader of that political party tried to jump on the bandwagon in support of the families because he is a grade A cunt.

Was it a good representation of what happened? (And what grade would you give the cunts on this site?)

I didn't see it. Along with the Bradford Stadium fire, they are two subjects of numerous documentaries I can no longer watch as I can't imagine the horror of being in that situation.
Which cunts are we talking about? I myself am a class C

I will have you know I'm a class E normally but I graded myself higher because I can't remember my post history.
FF2. You can't imagine that time in English history. All football fans were looked down upon and treated like shit on matchdays. In some ways this is still true to this day. There were children trampled to death in front of their parents while the police batoned anyone trying to escape it. A truly shocking moment in our history.

This is why they want the NFL in London.
All makes sense now.

I don't know what E60 is, but there was an excellent 30 for 30 on the Hillsborough disaster.
It's by and far one of the most shameful attempted cover ups by police and public officials, while blaming victims. Fucking scandal.
Edit: The worst part, maybe it's not the case in the UK, but if you ask an average soccer fan here about the disaster he'll say "oh yeah, it was because drunk fans with no tickets forced entry". The lie is like a stain that won't go away.

It's massive, 27 years families have been trying to get justice against a police murder cover-up.
My father was at the game but luckily escaped with his life. Glad the families of the 96 who didn't finally got the justice they deserve.
Just google Hillsborough disaster and look at google images and you can see for yourself how tragic it was.
Also let's not forget the Heysel disaster where 39 Juventus fans lost their life being crushed by rioting Liverpool fans.
