Oh! Almost forgot! Big sale on a Brinkmann smoker at K-Mart. Half off! $49.99 for an electric smoker! Picked one up yesterday. How do those electric smokers compare to one using wood? I don't think they preform as well because you have less control over the heat, BUT they are easier and take less time, usually half the time in most cases. With this price, I couldn't beat it, it was cheaper than a lot of charcoal smokers.

I went to a bullfight in Mexico once. It's fucking barbaric. That shit oughtta be outlawed. The bulls need to learn how to fake their injuries like the soccer players.

One could also argue they're treated like demi-gods their whole lives up to that moment, which is cruel I agree. In terms of quality of life they leave the rest of the animal world in the dust. If animal cruelty is the argument then you should stop eating meat altogether because what goes on in slaughterhouses isn't better. It's weird I feel a bit the same way about boxing. When it’s well done by pros it’s a thing of beauty, even if when you like at it in a vacuum, it’s 2 dudes beating the shit out of each other. Why would we find that beautiful or worthwhile? I understand why people find it horrendous and I have a hard time explaining why I think it’s incredible. Maybe it’s like watching a car crash. Dunno. The eating meat argument is an interesting one. In my opinion it doesn't equate. If you are going to kill an animal to eat its meat then I am fine with it. Im not fine with killing animals for sport or their pelts or the ivory or for entertainment. I agree about the slaughterhouses and how animals are treated on "factory farms" although I dont think the people are doing it for enjoyment and that is where I make the difference. I don't equate animal life with human life although I do think some animals should be held in reverence over others. I do believe as humans we hold dominion over the rest of the creatures on earth and but with that comes responsibilities. If we take an animals life for the purpose of sustaining our own then that is something we should take seriously. Boxing is a brutal sport, so is MMA. But in those sports you have two consenting adults acting within their free will. Animals don't have free will. I dunno. Just how I view the whole thing. You all are missing the point on the bull fighting and the poor bull, and the hamburger or chicken we eat. While yes the lives of the animals that are harvested for our consumption is horrible, they are all at least killed in a quick manor that causes little pain for any length of time, another words little suffering.
As for bull fighting, I could care less, But if I have to think about it, I would have to say it is pretty barbaric. Where the animal killed for my burger and the bull differ is, these bulls, from everything I have ever seen, are tortured and killed over an extended length of time for the amusement of the fans.
I say good for the bull, but I also say, if the end result for the bull is death in the ring, than I say the end result for every bullfighter that gets caught on the wrong side of the horn should also be death in the ring. Oh, you got gored, fight on as hole.
Bull fighting is not a sport, bottom line, it is nothing more than mans superiority above animals in one of the most lopsided, fixed barbaric displays of animal cruelty for show and pleasure.
