The New York Post’s Brian Costello believes Jets TE Jace Amaro is on the roster bubble.
The 2014 second-round pick struggled as a rookie before missing all of last season with a shoulder injury. He reportedly showed well during the offseason program and early in camp, but he has really fallen off as of late. Never a great fit as a "traditional" tight end and seemingly not a favorite of the coaching staff, Amaro could probably use a fresh start.

Considering our Tight Ends blowwwwwww... if this is true I feel like it must be an attitude or work ethic thing.

Enunwa as a wr basically plays the same position. It would be highly embarrassing to be beat out by Sudfeld and Kellen Davis. RIP.

It would be mildly surprising, but it shouldn't be really.
This coaching staff doesn't put a high value on the "traditional" TE. They like their TEs basically to be another OL, and use an H-Back in the passing game.
Amaro isn't much of a blocker, and doesn't have the speed they seem to like out of their H-Back. It doesn't help that he has the dropsies occasionally. He just doesn't seem like a fit for the current regime.
He might make the roster, but I don't think he'll ever do much here.

Outside of QB (obviously) is there a position we have been more snakebit at?

Outside of QB (obviously) is there a position we have been more snakebit at? We have had very good QBs over the years (Vinny, Chad, O'Brien, O'Donnell). TE has been a much bigger problem area.

a great TE would improve this team shit loads. It seems we will never fill this void. We've passed on some good ones.
