I read a Cimini piece yesterday where he quoted Bowles saying that Revis has the option to press or not because he is Revis. Interesting how he would know that. In the post game presser Costello tried asking him about Revis and he refused to answer I watched a Bowles presser on the jets site yesterday or the day before and he explained that. He also said "who said he didn't have any help" when asked if he would start giving Revis help covering the #1 And I also wonder if Brandon called revis out for being shitty and half-retired and that's how that kerfuffle started. Hmm

Bowles def said exactly that tho. That Revis has the option and Lee way to cover as he feels. Apparently he's just doing a very shitty job. And I bet this wrist thing is an issue. Basically Bowles never told Revis to play off and give up first down after first down

I think the media is in Revis's head right now. To play that position you have to believe you're the best and be over confident and I just don't think even he believes in his own head that he is anymore.
He was used differently in Tampa and NE so a lot of time has passed since the glory days of him matching up on #1 WR and gettin in their face bein physical with them at the line.
He prefers to play off because IMO because he would rather give up a small gain and tackle then get beat deep because he knows he just doesn't have the make up speed anymore.
Revis has become an exceptional tackling ball hawk these days and nothin more.

It seems like Bowles is takin shots at Revis. When Revis was asked why he wasn't pressing he said coaches decision. Now Bowles comes out and says its up to Revis. Looks like Revis tried throwing Bowles under the bus and he got hit by it instead.

Hmm Weird how during TC Revis was superhuman and making these great plays supposedly. Now he can't cover shit I guess Marshall was justified

Now he can't cover shit The thing is with Marsh and Deck is they are big possession receivers so in practice he can match up well. Revis is struggling with these 23-24 year old #1 guys that can flat out fly.
