Lorenzo Mauldin had 6 snaps this past game. Just sayin I fear he is a speed rush OLB without difference making speed who does not know how to play OLB very well. Sometimes, guys eventually figure it out though. Remember how unimpressive Bryan Thomas was in his first 4 years. The light went on in year 5 and for 7 seasons after that he was a very good player, who could be counted on week in and week out to do his job well. Some guys just take longer to develop than others. The Bengals come to mind as team that does a great job developing their players even if it takes a few years. i much fear serious trouble in the fuselage fredrick...

Bowles has decided to play essentially a 4-3 most of the time with Sheldon occupying the spot where Mauldin would normally play. Sheldon has less sacks than Mauldin while playing significantly more snaps (other than the game he missed). Playing Sheldon as a 43 DE is a misuse of his skillset.

It's approaching Rex level coaching. In fact Bowles seems to be becoming the black Rex, without the "personality".

At the end of the day, Sheldon is a superior talent to Mauldin, so I understand the logic of trying to get Sheldon, Leo and Mo on the field at the same time. However, you need to have the wisdom, after a certain period of time, to say, "this isn't working" and try something else.

I heard earlier this week (possibly mentioned elsewhere) that Adam Schleppy Schein said that sources told him that the Jets passed on Lynch because Bowles said so...
Now, I realize my affair with Lynch is getting annoying, but regardless -- If that IS true, then everyone needs to be fired. Everyone. There's no fixing a GM who lets his DC masquerading as a HC tell him what to do about drafting QBs.

I just watched highlights of the Steelers - KC game, they where 36 zip up at one point against a team that beat the living shit out of us for 4 quarters.
Sunday will be an embarrassment of epic proportions.

Jets would be the kind of team to squeak out a win in an ugly fashion/steelers losing it and then confusing the fan base by not knowing how to feel after. Aka losing the following week.

I know that's how the Jets roll but I just can't see that happening. I can't see any way we will stop Brown and the deep ball and I expect thier defense to play physical against the run and suffocate our offense when the game is again in Fitz's hands.

The JEts only hope is Roethlisberger. After bad games, like the Eagles, he buckles down, does his work, and bounces back the next week. But, after good games, he gets lazy in his prep and sloppy in his play. That's what happened when the Jets beat the Steelers a couple of years ago at MetLife. Same JAG safety picked him off 2 (or was it 3) times.

What would John Elway know about quarterbacking in the NFL anyway? LOL! Idiot Jets!
