Uh, no. IK didn't have to resort to physical violence. A violent whack job didn't have to resort to physical violence? Geno should never have let it get to that. _ Was the alleged "violent whack job" known as a "violent whack job" when said pissing contest commenced?

I think maybe you misunderstood what I was saying. Of COURSE IK wasn't justified in punching Geno. No one ever is in those circumstances. But to completely absolve Geno of any fault is being naive. When you taunt a tiger you could get attacked. You have to understand these things, especially as the leader of a franchise. _ Yes, I think there was a misunderstanding. I don't think Geno is blameless, but I don't think he's the main culprit for blame. Excessive reaction is how I would define it. And he didn't "deserve" it either. But having a complete lack of understanding of a situation does not absolve one of blame. You walk out into a busy highway wearing a blindfold and your going to get run over. You gotta accept your portion of the blame for that. If the reports are true that he taunted IK, a known violent beast, maybe he wasn't asking for it but he certainly did nothing to detail the situation. _

The thing that bothers me in all this is that we still don't know what Geno is. I'm always terrified that we are gonna let a QB go and he goes somewhere else and lights it up. Clemens, Ratliff, Sanchez and now Geno. Odds are he won't do well but I gotta hold my breath for another year or two. I mean Geno is a punk and that won't change but you can win with a punk. Look at Cam Newton. The revisionism here is nauseating. HE SUCKS. CASE CLOSED.
PS - those other 3 you mentioned - THEY SUCKED TOO.

Lets see what Petty had
Have to think the next loss for Fitz will be his last with the Jets. It's good to know Petty will get a shot. If he doesn;t work out, draft another one this year

Besides the point...he has shitty ass luck....he got his jaw broke after that punch, his replacement went on to have a career year, he finally gets a shot and goes down in the first have of the first game.... shitty ass luck pretty much defines it. You make your won luck. Was it unlucky he didn't pay back a known violent whack job $600 and taunted him instead? _ people say this but logic says it isnt true....if that were the case then every man, woman and child on a plane crash had it coming, and that would mean there is actually something that a person could so to magically impact them selecting the winning numbers on lotto...it's faulty logic....it was luck that the punch actually broke the jaw, it was luck that a take down that looked minor (imo) was enough to tear his acl and it was luck that you happened to be online at the same time I am reading this thread.

Wait, you're using "luck" and "logic" in the same argument? And that folks on a plane with no control over its flight or circumstances surrounding the plane are the same as Geno not paying back IK chump change, them taunting him about it? Coincidence and luck are two different things. And I'm not sure luck is a real thing. _

We all know what Geno was/is/will be - an average (and that's being generous) QB at best.. frankly, I think he's below average and will be out of the league in 2 years.

Revisionism? WTF are you babbling on about? Is that the term for people who brain wash other into worshiping Darrelle? No... Revis was a great CB - no denying that. However, if you still think that today, the term for that is "blind loyalty".
