.. It's come down to this...talking about burgers on a Sunday night... Shake shack has to be the most overrated and overpriced burger on the block.. 34$ for three burgers which were nothing to write home about.. (looked like they deep from them)and two shakes that were not even in the same league old Sam used to make at the candy store down the block...

Smashburger is also good, but again, pricey for a damn burger.
Five Guys might have it. Very tasty and semi reasonable price.

I like Shack Shack. Five Guys has good topping options and fries, but the patty itself is only so so in my opinion.
By far the most over rated in In n Out. There patties have 0 taste at all. I do not get the hype at all.

All those chain places (shake shack, five guys, whatever) are all below average burgers. They're no better than a burger at wendy's.
If a burger isn't medium rare, it's burnt. And none of those shit chains cook to medium rare.

I do not get the hype at all. Agreed. I had In n Out in California and I didn't see what the big deal was. All the chains mentioned are good, although I am a Fudruckers fan as well.

In n Out with their stupid yuppie secret menu is the most overrated burger on the planet. Double double animal style my ass. I think that 5 Guys is the best, although with expansion, some of their outlets are lacking. Best burgers are the ones that I make at home. Garlic and onion powder. Kosher salt and pepper. Worcestershire sauce incorporated in the meat. Fried in bacon fat. Slap on some cheddar cheese. Grilled onions. Sliced pickles. A little mayo. A little mustard. A little steak sauce. Damn..now I want one!

Steak & Shake is good, Five Guys Ok....this little dive place is #1 on my list. Been around since 1918 and owned by the same family. Cash only, menu includes a Liverwurst Sandwich. Yum! www.thedailymeal.com/eat/101-best-burgers-america-2016-slideshow/slide-29Agree though...Shake Shack is all fucking Hype. I was walked by the one in midtown last year around midnight and there was line out the door...WTF?
