VTN, Thanks for starting this thread. Why no mention of former 49er and Seahawk Scott McCloughan? Buy low sell high? Scott could be a diamond-in-the-rough. Pretty sure that this is a list of confirmed candidates that the Jets have either reached out to or requested permission to interview. I have not seen any reports that they have reached out to Mcloughan. Maybe Woody kept his big dumb mouth shut.

Something I am not sure he is capable of doing.

If DeCosta declines the interview, we have to move on quickly to our next candidate. The GM needs to be in place before we seriously look at coaches

The GM needs to be in place before we seriously look at coaches Agreed but I think there will be a lot of note sharing with the potential new GM so I still think its a good idea that they are interviewing both GM/Coach candidates. I really just hope and pray they are not considering Kubiak, unless he wants to take a role as offensive coordinater/asst head coach for a more non experienced head coach like Quinn or Bowles then that would make sense. But I doubt it.

I like him too he is brash and knows his stuff. He has Ron Wolf ties, so I'm not sure why his name has not come up, unless it's because of his personal demons... If he's over them and wants another change, then bar NONE, he is the one we should be targeting.

Do you guys think the Jets will push for a proven GM, or will Casserly and Wolf take a shot at a promising young executive type?

Not too surprising, as Paton has turned down other opportunities before.

@kmart_LI 21m21 minutes ago Confirmed #Vikings' asst GM George Paton turned down the #Jets' interview request. He's done so in the past, has done same w/ other teams.
