If Petty's shoulder is injured enough to keep him out if this game, it's likely a couple week issue.
No reason to start Fitz next week.
Do you put in Hack?
See what he's got?
Why not.

Sure why not. Then when he tears his ACL we can re-sign Fitz and Geno.

Nope
Why ruin whatever confidence he's regained by throwing him into this shitshow?
I'm thinking we should sign a young guy with some potential like Glennon in the offseason and have an open competition between him and Hack.

I hope so. That's the only way I'm watching.
It would be nice to watch him play, hopefully look competent and give us at least a glimmer of hope.

Not with this oline. If he busts his knee we won't have a QB next season. Let Fitz bust his kee.

The potential embarrasment of having Hackenberg look awful against a Rex Ryan defense next week is so significant that I doubt the staff will put Hackenberg into the game. I do think Hack dresses for the game (finally).

Why get him killed behind this OLine?

Won't happen because if he looks horrible the backlash would be the final straw,in Woody having to consider cleaning house. Should HackenBerg Start? Yes he should if he is so bad he isn't ready to play then the Jets made a huge error. The guy should get some reps and some experience if he can't handle being sacked and could hurt his development then he doesn't belong in the NFL. This is plain stupidity the Jets drafted this guy in the second round and after q5 games he can't even be active right now I would be ecstatic if they cleaned house and bought an experienced football guy in.
