If he's not ready to be playing football all year, he's not starting next week.
I want you all to understand how bad this is. Our 2nd round top 50 pick QB is so god awful, then he can't even earn a start in meaningless week 17 game where 3 other QBs have went down.

He's gotta start next week.
This is the fucking NFL.
Like life, it's tough.
That's why they wear helmets.

Screw that. He'd get killed behind this swiss cheese line.

The O-line is a god damn mess, there is NO benefit to putting him in other than to give people more reason to hate him, criticize him and point out what we all already know....that he isnt ready to play. I've already seen what he can do behind a shitty line...put a real group out there in front of him and if he still looks like shyt then I'm all on board the Hackenbust train.

Uummmm hand the ball off 35 times to our MVP Bilal Powell (which works), throw some screens to our MVP Bilal Powell and throw a dozen 3 drop slants to Marshall Wuincy and Robbie. It's not going at fucking hard. He's an NFL QB wannabe. Strap it on and get under center. If he can't handle meaningless week 17 game without shitting his pants, fuck him. _

We arent going to win whether he does or not and with your game plan we wont learn anything about our QB so again....whats the point in doing it? he cant handle it= maybe, maybe not....but it doesnt do US any good by purposely not giving him any chance in hell to win. fuck that, throw #FUCKFITZ to the wolves and let him earn that 12 mil. I'm just trying to understand if you are just blowing off steam or do is there real reasoning behind your original statement. I know you hate Hack and are probably disappointed that Petty looked so bad when he got his chance but usually there is at least some logic behind it.

I want to see him with a real line. But Geezuz Hack was a 2nd rounder from Penn State, a 6-4 dude with a howitzer. And he can't take ONE snap in the pros? When lightweight rookies like Goff are playing full games? This isn't the minor leagues. Strap on a helmet and do what you've been doing since you were 10. _

From the minute training camp started, the team has said that Hackenberg was getting a redshirt year. If he plays well, then everyone will complain that they should have played him earlier in the year and the staff didn't know how to evaluate it's own talent. If Hackenberg plays like shit (likely), then we hear non stop complaining about how Macc's draft sucked. Its a no win situation. Don't play him.

May as well lay it all out on the line. _

Is it official that Bryce is out? If so, Hack should play. We gain nothing from seeing Fitz.

Please dont do the common sense thing....this board is filled with pissed off, emotional, revenge filled posters. Like an ex who is pissed you fucked her sister and now all bets are off and she has no boundaries.

I have really wanted to chime in on this discussion with something remotely resembling an opinion. But I just don't give a shit anymore. Hack, Petty, Fitz, it just doesn't really matter. I will watch the game regardless of who is starting because I am a Jet fan and its what I do. Last chance to see them play until August (thankfully) and last chance to hang out with my fellow Jet fans and raise a glass to toast the merciful end to one of the worst seasons in recent memory.
As for who starts under center, they could start Nick Marshall (former QB at Auburn) for all I care.
Go Jets.

2 Qb's hurt why not go for three. Unless Todd and Rex decide to scrimmage and Qb's are off limits, play Harvard.
