commitment to a guy like Taylor. You're talking probably at least $16 million per over the next 2-3 years at least. I dunno where some of you guys pull these numbers out of your ass from. He's not getting 16M a year. Sure he will Osweiller got $18 million a year after a handful of starts.

Tyrod Taylor is the black Geno Smith
...with a 2.4% better completion percentage.

Tyrod Taylor is the black Geno Smith ...with a 2.4% better completion percentage. He's Geno minus the turnovers. He reminds me of Alex Smith with a bit more mobility tbh. That's pretty much the big appeal for me as far as Taylor goes. Favre, Sanchez, Geno, Fitz... I'm just tired of the turnovers.

Matt McGloin in 2017. That's not what I want. Just what I expect to end up with. Actually that's what will happen. The Jets have a thing for Penn State QBS and offensive players in general.

I'd rather sign Glennon.

I'm ok with Taylor or Glennon provided the price is right. If I have to spend 10 million or more to sign either of them, I think I would pass on both.

I'd drop 10 mil on Glennon just because I dont know what his ceiling is. I dont think Taylor is a franchise QB. I could also see someone giving Glennon a 2-3 year deal with 20 mil gtd. i mean look at what osweiler got.

I like Taylor and I think he did a really nice job running a gimmicky offense for the Bills. While he is better than anything we have had for the last 8 years, I don't know how his skills would translate to a traditional offense. Is he able to stand in the pocket, go through progressions and make the right decisions. Probably going to watch some Bills game film over the next few days, but my gut tells me that he would struggle running a traditional offense.

If we sign Glennon (who was beat by Josh McCown as a starter) to anything but a 1 year deal, then I just don't know.

Personally I like Tylor better then Glennon didn't have much to work with in buffalo besides McCoy and and always injured Watkins protects the ball I would offer him 2 years 28 mil
Hopefully we settle QB situation before draft I don't want any of these QBs in first round really want fornette/cook or #1 CB

Sure he will Osweiller got $18 million a year after a handful of starts. So? that's irrelevant. He will get what his top offer is.

You think the market for QB's has suddenly shrunken or something? Hell, Mike Glennon hasn't played in 2 years and he's set to get a deal in the $10-12 million a year range.

$10-12 million a year range. That sounds a bit more like it. I remember ppl saying Fitzfuckstick MUST demand 16M too... He didn't get anything close and we overpaid at 12M. I wanted them to max out at 7M but they bitched out. dude aint gonna have ppl bidding for his services

MY veteran QB options:
Bortles (word is he may be dealt fairly cheaply), Tyrod, Glennon, Hoyer, McCown. If the Jets opt to go with Petty and/or Hack, you could bring in a cheap vet like a Shaun Hill or Matt McGloin to be the vet backup or even bring back Geno on a short-term deal.
Draft? I'm not opposed to drafting another guy high, if the value is there. But my preference is build the rest of the team, see what we have with our young guys, then re-assess in 2018.

No to all of them mentioned so far. Draft a CB and some oline bodies and roll with Petty and Hack. We finally go 3-13 2-14 and have a decent shot in 2018 draft to grab a kid like the USC guy or some other strong prospect. If we keep up this middle of the road bullshit we will never get one or have to pull a Rams move and trade away years of our draft capital to get one. Once we have that attracting a strong coach and FA's will be much easier. Fuck it in 2017 baby!!
