Trade out of the first round all together for a additional 1st and 2nd next year and maybe a 2nd and 3rd this year? Not sure how that pencils out but I would love to see something like this happen. I would have no problem with this but I don't think Mac has the balls to fo it unless Woody assured him that he wouldn't get fired. And I don't see that happening either.

That is true but we need to resolve the QB situation first before addressing the future RB. There are no QBs in this year's draftThis.

McCown can go two years, while the FO builds the team right. When Hack or can unseat McCown, then, great, make the change ASAP. Otherwise, without a leader like McCown, be prepared to lose marquee players to other teams "while the Jets figure it out...". yeah yeah Chicken Little...sue me

I could be off base here but I think the FO wants Hack to win this competition and short of him sucking ass... a distinct possibility... I think he will either be the QB at the start of the season or at some point early on.

I did a draft simulator on Fanspeak. After round 3 I was just throwing darts, but I am okay with the first 3 rounds.
6: R1P6 RB LEONARD FOURNETTE LSU 39: R2P7 TE EVAN ENGRAM MISSISSIPPI 70: R3P6 EDGE CARL LAWSON AUBURN 107: R3P43 C PAT ELFLEIN OHIO STATE 150: R5P6 CB JOURDAN LEWIS MICHIGAN 191: R6P7 OT ERIK MAGNUSON MICHIGAN 224: R7P6 CB AARION PENTON MISSOURI

I like those first 4 picks. I'd also take OJ Howard at 6. Replacing Ingram with the best back left.

go for a QB ... Deshaun Watson. A team needs to build around a franchise QB and they don't have anyone worthwhile. Get Watson and dump one or both of the kids they have ... and if Watson doesn't work out, go for another one next year. The only player to build around is a QB. Fact of NFL life.

I want nothing to do with Watson. 30 INTs in his last 2 years including 17 last year. Seems like a good kid but you need more than intangibles from your QB. If we pick him with the 6th pick, I might smash my tv.
I am no draft genius by any stretch and maybe this kid turns out to be good. I just don't see it. I would be pissed if we took him with our second round pick.
Start building a team and deal with the QB situation next year if the young guys suck.
