He seems to scream Practice Squad candidate. Didn't the Jets also sign a highly sought after UDFA in WR Marks? What are they planning to do with all these guys? (rhetorical question) I guess they're really trying to create competition at the bottom of the roster and see what they can churn up. The RB they drafted is also supposedly a return specialist. The more I think about it there does seem to be some writing on the wall for Marshall. Similar to Calvin Pryor, the Jets not only drafted 2 WRs early in the Draft, they drafted and signed UDFAs who seem best poised to fight for punt/kick return duty. I could argue that this Draft was as bad or worse for Nick Marshall than it was for Calvin Pryor. I think you mean Jalin Marshall (Nick is a CB), other than that, I agree with everything you said. Yup, brain fart.

Just looked, Patton's contract is basically non-guaranteed only $25k and only $25k dead money if cut. But Johnny Morton was his coach so he may be inclined to keep him. The more I think of it, the more I'm thinking Decker is gone. Which is too bad, love the player and he's a good guy, good locker room presence. _ I had dark horse hopes for Jalin Marshall. I think the HC will keep him buried for the banned substances transgression. If we do keep him, I think he would be back later in the year, fighting his way out of the doghouse. You have to keep Peake and Anderson; both are tough as nails. Both are coming up with great clutch moments

I like to think I see things in people. Tonite!! New episode! _ Does Don Belidick make you sick to your stomach? I hate Don Eladio. His entire organization reflects the influence of a twisted, sick mind.

Bumping this in light of the Decker being cut/traded news. Gotta think Patton is breathing a sigh of relief?
Do they keep six? Enunwa, Anderson, Peake, Stewart, Hanson, and Patton? With Marshall starting the year suspended?

I think in 2 years, our WR corp is going to be: starting WR: Hansen and Peake H-Back/chess piece: Enunwa slot: Stewart 4th receiver/deep threat: Anderson. The future may be now!

With Marshall starting the year suspended? Those are probably the 6 until a better young WR is cut after the preseason. Then Patton gets the boot. He's garbage. Hopefully we'll get lucky like the Saints did with Willie Snead.

Yeah, looks like they announced Monday Patton is on IR, and they signed Devin Street, WR.
So maybe they run with 5 to start, with Marshall coming off suspension during the season.
